As for the theme, it's definitely not latte related. You guys probably should be looking for something more natural.

Aaalright, since nobody could guess the theme and the foals have started growing up, I shall explain: they are melanistic zebras.

Months ago I found out that, for zebras, the melanism mutation may express itself in a surprisingly wide variety of coat patterns. On some specimens it creates large blotches of black pigment covering the body, and on others it disrupts the white stripes into beautiful dotted patterns(it's specially cool when the white is lightly pigmented brown). Some even have little to no patterns at all:



I thought this would make a really cool litter. I've played around with different kinds of melanistic coats for the designs, and hopefully you'll enjoy them ^^.

Okay, that is awesome! I used to love checking out different mutations of animals coats/colors, I love this litter a lot more now!

What a neat theme for the zebras! Makes me even more excited that something finally went my way this month, and one of my two day-4 zeebs grew and one didn't!
