I do think it's unfair to you, though the bat is worth C$15. Not sure by how much though and you might want to get a 2nd opinion.

A mid 2010 rare/very rare ranging from May to August is worth around 20C$ (Current store pet worth)
A late 2010 rare/very rare ranging from September to December is worth around 15+C$

Also, how many uncommon Bunny-Dogs would be needed for a 2012 very-late (September-December) rare?
