Do we know when the Halloween event will be starting this year? I figured it would start by tomorrow (Saturday) but there is nothing posted about it.

Here are the past start dates for the Halloween event! ^^
2009: October 22 - November 10
2010: October 19 - October 31
2011: October 17 - November 1
2012: October 20 - November 11
2013: October 25 - November 6
2014: October 17 - November 6
2015: October 23 - November 9
2016: October 21 - November 5

So since it wasn't today, definitely next weekend!

I know this might ruin some of the magic of the event, but it has been awhile since I’ve participated in one on chicken smoothie. How does the Halloween event work, are there special pets? Do I just play the game on the front page to earn event tokens/items/pets? Thank you for any help! (:

There should be free adopts every day on the halloween page
Tokens are found through banner hunting, you may click one every 20 minutes and they show up randomly at the bottom of your page (some pages on CS don't have banners. I usually refresh the homepage.)
and those are traded in for pets/items. There's also "banner pets" that show up a couple days in (from my experience at least) so there's a small random chance to get that from the banners as well.
