You guys need more faith - same artist did similar color on the chameleons that were so popular a few months back.

I'm okay with those colors if the end result is pretty things like

Oh I have faith, there are countless designs made by Sorren that I absolutely adore! c:
The thing is that with the chameleons there's lots of gradients, which you can get to work with pretty much any two colours.
It's probably something that is different between people as we all perceive colour a little differently. I have to squint to properly see the markings on the fennec, else they kinda make my vision go blurry, so for me it's not as easy on the eyes as the smooth gradients on the chameleons.
It doesn't necessarily cause me to dislike the pet, though - this horse is a pet I really like despite the fact that I have a really hard time seeing the markings xD
So I am curious to see the adult - it's a bigger lineart, too, which will make it easier to see the markings.

i hope one of the fennecs will grow up to look like the newborn ( blue w/ white underneath ); probably not, but it's a really nice combo imo

I like how the inside of the ears are only blue '3' I agree with ZEL that the purple could be darker, but I also agree that at the end I will love the adult stage !
