Nice detective work! I can confirm the dressed up dog is what my hint was leading to. It'll become more clear if you look into why I chose that dog specifically to dress up (along with all the dress-up items) and those hints will lead to my pup. c:

That dog, created by Chia, is from the Tiger Snake 2nd gens litter: named for their parents, the Pink Snake and Tiger Rat-Dog. It’s name is the Orange Striped Tiger Snake. The items - a wig, a tiger, a giraffe, and a wild dog/hyena - imply a wild animal, maybe a hybrid, and maybe with flowing hair, or tail. So based on these, I will guess your dog is this one. It appears to have a snake-like pattern on its body and maybe scales/stripes on its face, tiger like colors, giraffe back feet, and a flowing tail.

On mobile so quoting can be...ehhhhh. Anyway adding to Cats post above. Giraffes are actually confirmed to be what was, in mythology a Kirin. They are also associated with water and knowledge about writing in china. At least in a myth I read long ago.
Another but if info is that there are two versions that look different. Ones more cat,dog, or goat/ram-like. The other is deer/horse like. The goat ones used as a means of judgement and when used in trials. The other was peaceful and more of a fortune teller.
So, maybe that horse pup has based there? Kirin scales are described as dragon or viper-like.
*In the vipers case it's more the appearance. Like a bush viper*

Alright, so with Nadine's confirmation, that narrows our suspects down to;



Now, with Nadine's staff pup history above, I am going to rule out the heavier line art edits, as Nadine doesn't tend have any heavy line art edits on her pups, just small ones. I am also ruling out the other pup with a gradient CS tag, since Nadine has never done that either.

Leaving us with;


Following previous years, Nadine does have tail edits on her full grown staff pup, ruling out the adult, and the line art she uses doesn't have the curled tail, so I'm ruling out that pup as well, leaving us with five possibilities.


Her hints are that her pup is lost, needing a light and may be lost in another galaxy, which leads me to think it may be our starry skyed friends here:

I leaning toward the full purple-starred one a little more since it fits in with the hints and I think it may be more Nadine's pup.

I will wait for confirmation or denial of this suspected pup by their owner, to narrow down the potentials even more...

I suspect it is the purple star one especially since it grow tonight and looks like it has a constellation in it. One of Nadine's hints is Sirius which is a star and is known as the dog star. It is part of the constellation known as Canis Major.
