Not me either! My wife is an anime nerd but she’s not on CS lol. I just smile and nod.

It's always "what are the staff doing" and not "how are the staff doing". How are y'all doing? I hope you're handling things well.

I’m actually doing really well! I got a new job right before the world ended that is really great and has helped me be financially secure in these times. I’m also writing a lot of books because that makes me happy. Just gotta make it work!

How do you create pets ?

Could be worse, I guess! x) I've been a bit down because of quarantine, but CS has kept me going. I'm finishing my last year of grad school and will hopefully be getting a virtual internship in the next week. so I'm really hoping that everything works out.

working in a post office during a pandemic is -1/10, cannot recommend.
things have stabilized now for the most part, but I can't say the experience hasn't left a bitter aftertaste that I feel will linger for a while longer.

I finally did get to take a vacation recently, though (well, a vacation at home), and it finally allowed me to catch some rest and feel a little more refreshed again. It also broke my writer's block - and being able to be productive through a hobby again has done wonders to ease my stress! ^^

I'm doing as good as anyone can be during all this craziness. My entire school year has been put online, and it's been quite a learning curve getting use to doing vet school like this, but the profs are creative so we're managing. Looking forward to returning to campus again, doing everything online really makes you miss actually being in class.

First of all, thank you a lot c:

For me, it varies. I sometimes have random thoughts where I'm like "oh, that would make a good design!" and write it down on my notes app. I have a whole list of possible pet themes on my phone now. So it's mostly things I see in my daily life, when I go on walks, when I browse the internet.
I also have a pinterest board where I collect things I find pretty that sometimes inspire litters!

For me personally, I try to come up with ideas that A. Go together well thematically and B. Have enough options to make a litter out of!
I try to draw inspiration from nature, natural patterns, sometimes things more whimsical, generally things that tie to my interests that ensure I stay motivated enough to really make the litter shine!
I want all of the pets I design to be well-rounded and stand out.

As for designing my UR:
Food-based: Wouldn't a cute little takeout box be the sweetest thing?
General pet: I'd love to design a fancy plant-related animal of some sort! or an eastern dragon, wink wink

I like to look at common 'sets' of things, I also watch a lot of science/nature documentaries and get a lot of ideas from those! Sometimes I like just taking two things that don't go together traditionally- and merging them just to see what would happen.
Normally I do a lot of research into my batches to try and give myself plenty of ideas to work with as I design them

If I was to design an UR- I'd love to make a little gecko! Leopard geckos are my favorites and a teensie tiny gecko pet would be the cutest
