Did anyone else here have their siblings sneak onto thier account and steal pets when they were younger?

Me and my sis were pretty tame, though we traded for vanity before we really figured out what "rarities" were, so she literally has some pets I gave her that I REALLY shouldn't have given her and vice versa LOL. She doesn't play the game much anymore (if at all?) but we still talk about it from time to time.

My "stealing story" come from some adult player in 09 stealing an entire hoard of pets of mine and pretty much ransoming them back to me for a list pet. I had been very wary of scammers, but the one time I didn't notice was when I was playing on a phone (VERY early mobile phones that were clunky) and the tiny print messed me up. I spent an entire week trying to get the pets they stole back. I did, actually! But I had to give up one of the september 08 gear dogs to get them to. It's been well over 10 years and I'm still salty!!!

I'm curious how many of you remember the cake contest from 2011? It's crazy to think that was 10 years ago now!

Here is my entry. It was the first cake I ever made. I was only a teenager at the time, and had very little experience with baking. It is both nostalgic and cringey to see how messy it is lol
Also here is my long sought after 08 UR Cat that I just finally traded for today, sporting my cake set. I can't think of a better pet to dress up with it, considering this is the pet I based my cake on!

I put 3 candles on one cake, to represent 2011, and 13 candles on the other, to represent this year.

Anyways, did anybody else here participate in the contest? Do you still have your cake set from it?

I forgot about this until now!! I don't remember participating but god that WAS so long ago. I do remember it happening!

I may be one of the oldest players here on CS-my daughter played it and I thought it would be a fun thing for us to do together during her turbulent teen years. She and I still get on and play now and then, especially around event times but not as much as we used to.
I remember not knowing anything and just trading away a valuable pet, I think it was a December 18th pet, because I had no clue as to what I had!!
Lots of fun memories on here and some very nice players as well.

oh wow, that was such a huge scandal. i remember being really worried that i wouldn't like my pets anymore if they got a new lineart. turns out i actually like them more now lol

I remember i was quite annoyed by the changes to the unicorn lines, but also kind of liked them?? Mostly this barbie-esque appearance of them annoyed me. It still ocassionally does. The old ones really looked like unicorns on old tapestries. Just the coloration/markings on them were quite ... unprofessional-looking.

Oh man! This was so long ago! I remember it taking me a while to get used to the new lineart.
My first pet I adopted here (12 years ago!?) was a horse and I still love that PPS foal, but it was weird when he suddenly looked different!

At this point I barely remember what the old art looked like though. >.>

Remember when the Timberwolf advent was super sought after? It was right up there with the bmd, but less than the Black advent. I was so proud when I finally traded for one!

Yes

Timberwolf, Hyena, Tan Sockdog, and Green-fronted Holly were right up there with the Bernese Mountain dog and Black Advent (or at least behind them by only a hair) over a decade ago...

Spotted Tribal used to be super popular as well. I swear everyone and their grandmother wanted one in 2008

I remember the cake contest and I did enter. I was young as heck at the time so it was. . . bad. . . LOL. I didn't have a lot at my disposal and we didn't have the supplies to make cakes at the time, so I made do.

I took a break from CS for a while and came back to find the fennec lines were different and the horse lines were different. That was weird. I miss the old fennec lines, they were so pretty.

I certainly don't do as much on here as I used to, I mostly just log in to get pets and do the events nowadays. I used to do oekaki and forum games/rps and all that jazz but I am an adult now and i just don't have time. Ain't that how it goes

Oh my gosh. The cake contest. I didn't have cake, but I wanted to participate, so I made one out of lunchables pepperoni pizzas. 😂

I joined at the end of 2012 and then disappeared in like 2014/2015 and then I came back and things have changed so much. When I left, I don't remember item wishlists being a thing.
