oh wow, that was such a huge scandal. i remember being really worried that i wouldn't like my pets anymore if they got a new lineart. turns out i actually like them more now lol

So when I was a kid and my sister were kids all three of us were really big on chicken smoothie (my sisters still play occasionally but not as much anymore) I can't remember if I gave my sister my password or if I just left my account open and she logged on. But one day I logged on and a bunch of my rates and December 18th pets had been transferred to an account called "bugsbunny22" so obviously I started freaking out and I contact the website admins. I was especially worried because at the time, I used the same password for everything... and I mean everything. As much as I was upset about loosing my pets I was way more worried about someone going on my youtube account and seeing my secret playlist where I had alot of LGBT videos, especially girl x girl stuff. At the time I was very outwardly and aggressively homophobic, and my mom hated gay people (shes still not a fan but she's got a lesbian and a bi kid now and she just has to deal with it) and I didn't want to be exposed for the gay little hypocrite I was, I was highkey terrified of it... (I had also talked about being gay on some of the forms on CS whitch I could play off as trolling, but a whole playlist of videos... not as much.)

So I asked my sister if she had gone on my account, and told her I wasn't even mad I just needed to know that my password was safe. Both my sisters swore to god that they had no idea and it wasn't them. I belived them so panicked even more worried about who did this and what they could do to me.
So the website administrator, Tess (litteraly the owner of the website) messaged me being like "so its probably someone in your account because it came from the same IP adress" and I told my mom and the naboor kid (who also had a CS accounts)'s mom and she integrated them and they finally cracked. Turns out. I did give my sister my password, and my other sister and the naboor girl coerced her into going into my account and taking my pets and then they were going to split them. Personally I was just really relieved that my secret was safe and I got my pets back (I still have the trades where it said "the websites administrator Tess made this trade) and I changed my password and never trusted it to my sister or anyone else again. The were super grounded, all 3 of them!

I.... have never really played CS with anyone ^^; One of my best friends and I joined CS together in 2008, and another one actually joined recently on a whim, but neither of them stuck around on CS, and they never really interacted with the community.

My mom doesn't have an account but is supportive of my spending time on CS. My "father" (my father, who lost the right to be called my father years ago; it's too confusing to call him anything else, ugh), on the other hand, has always hated it whenever I spent time that wouldn't directly benefit me in the future, which meant that he hated it (and still hates it) when I spend time on fun websites like CS. He blocked CS in our house for over a year and it was only unblocked because of IP address shenanigans one year. And my mom can't keep her mouth shut because she keeps on believing "maybe now he's better"... so I don't really have anyone in real life to talk to about CS on a regular basis...

But it's okay! I talk about CS enough to my best friends and they're fine with having no idea what I'm talking about

It does get kinda lonely, though... I'm really lucky to have my friends, but different kinds of games hold our attentions, so I'm often stuck playing games alone after the first month or so that we try out a game (or I ditch the game myself and they're stuck alone lol it evens out).

Yeah, my sisters and I didn't have money growing up or allowance so when we wanted to bribe eachother into doing chores and favors we would use CS pets as currency. We were always worried that mods would think we were cheating because we would be sending rares with nothing on the other end but "she raked up the leaves for me she's my sister please don't ban me" and we'd give eachother CS pets for Christmas as birthdays. I actually talked to my sister about CS on Thanksgiving and she still uses CS. I don't know anyone else who uses it outside of us irl. I tell my boyfriend about chicken smoothie somthimes and he's always confused... I was kinda embarrassed to tell and show him that at first but I did and he told me he thought it was cute. Then he got to spend the next 30 minutes getting to see all my pets and hear about them as I showed off XD

I'm curious how many of you remember the cake contest from 2011? It's crazy to think that was 10 years ago now!

Here is my entry. It was the first cake I ever made. I was only a teenager at the time, and had very little experience with baking. It is both nostalgic and cringey to see how messy it is lol
Also here is my long sought after 08 UR Cat that I just finally traded for today, sporting my cake set. I can't think of a better pet to dress up with it, considering this is the pet I based my cake on!

I put 3 candles on one cake, to represent 2011, and 13 candles on the other, to represent this year. :)

Anyways, did anybody else here participate in the contest? Do you still have your cake set from it?
