Part 1: Mystery

Who... Who is this guy? Aika stared awkwardly into the face of the stranger, although covered it was. The dim light of the moon in this foggy night didn't help much in her situation; it made her paranoid, actually. Run, run as fast as you can... She wanted too, actually. Why don't you listen, Aika? Why didn't she listen? Her body and mind knew best, afterall...

"Shhh..." He whispered, putting a finger to His mouth, letting His blood red eye's wander freely. Aika wanted to scream, but... She couldn't. There was something about this guy that made her breathless, that made her feel all tingly and dangerous inside. She bit her lip. But the worst part is... She enjoyed the dangerous feeling with Him around, it made her feel alive again in every possible way; like she was reborn and living the life of another person. Faded memories of being afraid of the dark and reading about the boogie man all made sense now, when she looked at Him. Aika gave Him a smirk as the silence droned on.

The mystery man closed his eye's; sealing off the beautiful ruby's that layed in his eye-socket. The wind blown around the two quietly, when finally He dropped his hand from his unseen mouth. "Why are you here?" He asked in a forceful tone. Aika was surprised at the sudden question, and stuttered, looking through her mind for the appropriate answer. But, with her luck, her answer was quite predictable. "I... I don't know." How did I get here? She panicked, waiting for the reply from this... Monster? No. She didn't know that for sure. Plus, monster was too harsh... "Last time I checked it was three A.M and I went back to bed after... After getting a snack..." Aika gave him a questioning look; which he returned with a smirk. "Well, their's your answer."

Aika awoke.

Gwen was running away from her village, though her father expected her to marry Lance, she didnt really want to. An arrow flew by her and she turned to see a knight in green armor. "Oh. it's you. Why wont you tell me your name O green one?" The knight smiled sadly,"If i told you that, things would be much different m'lady. Do you need help, Gwen?" "Yes, thank you kindly."Gwen replied.

The Queen [♀] | -xxx- [♂]

The woman sat back, inspecting the game with mock interest. Her clothing made it obvious that she belonged to neither side of the field; she was dressed in a blunt red color that made her stand out against her dull surroundings.

She seemed to have her eye on something, or rather, someone, who traveled at an awkward pace across the game area. He was cloaked entirely in black attire, his face masked behind a dark hood.

There came a quiet moment where another person, dressed in white, approached him; elegantly, he attacked.

The queen, who had been watching carefully, looked at the man, pitiful and defeated. She watched as he pulled off his hood and returned the innocent stare that she was giving him. Finally, movements perfectly in sync, the nodded in comprehension.

"Checkmate."

Chapter two: Wasn't Real

Aika paced around her room with her thumb nail in her mouth, chewing carelessly. The dream was all she could think about; the dark forest, the wind on her face, the thrill of His eye's baring down on her... Aika shivered and sat down on her couch. Run... Aika chewed her nail again, thinking. Where would she run too? It was all just a dream afterall, it wasn't real... Just a dream. Yeah. There we go. Run, Aika!

The night came slowly this time, hiding behind the sunset that told the world 'goodnight.' The world was peaceful for the people on Aika's street; all but Aika, that is. She was sleeping. Dreaming. She shuttered in her sleep...

"What do you want?" She asked as He stroked her cheek, giving her the same thrill that he gave her when he just looked at her. "I want you to promise that you'll keep this a secret..." His voice was as cold as ice, yet more delicate than the previous night where his voice was like venom; sharp and dangerous. Their was no noise in the area except the soft breathing of the two.

Aika pulled away from His hand, but He just grabbed her again, pushing her toward's Him. He growled in her ear. "You don't know the thing's i'm capable of..." Aika gasped when she was pulled down onto the ground, feeling the tear's burn in her eye's before they leaked down her cheek's. He smirked and lowered his head down to her's; she was staring into the darkness of his face and the hoody that covered it. Aika breathed heavily. Run... The same thought swirled around her mind as alway's, torturing her while thinking of what she should do. The mysterious man took hold of Aika's chin, opening His eye's. "Promise?"

"This isn't real."

"Isn't it, Aika?"

Aika froze; how did he find out her name? "W-what...?" She cried, shaking her head as he laughed from her frightened face. "You know. You've alway's known. Am I right, Aikanai?" Aika screamed as the memory played through her mind. "Tell us, Aikanai. Tell us about this memory..." He whispered and vanished in the air. He reappeared behind Aika, and put His hand's on her shoulder's.

Aika growled and sniffled the tear's up. "I was seven. Me and my family were having their first vacation." Aika sniffled and rubbed her eye's, catching her breathe. "My name was Tammy at the time... I was curious. I was interested in the 'super natural'. My father-" She poured tear's again, and the man pushed her. "Go on." Aika cried, but continued through tear's. "My father showed me all these scary movie's about ghost's and monster's... It was our thing. I loved watching these movie's with my father, he comforted me when I was scared." The man smirked. Aika sighed and continued. "Their was this movie... 'Aikanai's Dream.' The story featured around a young girl, who... Who was tormented by this dream. The dream kept telling her to kill her parent's, and..." Aika sobbed, but continued, knowing it was the only way out. "And she went crazy! She had too... The ghost told her too. The ghost promised she would be left alone after that horrible act... But it was a lie."

"Go on."

"I don't want too..."

"You have too."

"No!"

The man appeared in front of Aika again, hissing madly into her face. Aika screamed, scaring the bird's in the forest away from the site, leaving only the two. She grabbed his hoody and pulled it off him, showing the face of pure evil... He had a horribly burnt face... That glowed. His eye's were bright red, and pupiless; it scared Aika. Tattoo's trailed up and down his body, including his head. Finally he pulled away at Aika's scream.

"Hideous isn't it?" He yelled.

"N-"

"Isn't it?!"

Aika was terrified, and asked him the one thing that was on her mind. "What's your name?"

The man smirked and kneeled down toward's her ear, whispering into it...

"Broken Glass."
