Hmmm ... This one is very interesting.
It is one of those very uncommon instances where I actually liked the 2nd stage better.
I like the other outcome much more - but this one is not bad.
Saves me the temptation of wanting to hoard again -phew-
The last one definitely has me curious though.

I love all of him except for those gaping cracks on his back.

I know he's marble and it's just marbling but it gives the illusion of splits in his skin. Makes me a little uneasy. Sort of a milder version of the heebie jeebies I get from holes where they shouldn't be. ..

They're actually not supposed to be anything!

They're not meant to be lightning or marble themed. There isn't really a specific theme, I was just experimenting around.

Do you guys have any idea what type of quartz this dog is modeled after?
I googled pictures of quartz types and their names, but couldn't really find one that fit exactly - most were more reddish than brown, and I think the reddish pup with the curled tail is going to be one of those, so this one must be a different type.

There's also Smokey Citrine which unfortunately is not here lol.

As for the Smokey Quartz pup, I am very happy. It isn't super light the darker stuff is better even if a lot of it has to be treated to be that way.

Ahh yes, I do have the stone cats. The labradorite cat is a fave, but because it's a full-faced facet, you end up missing some of the "dark" of the stone. I'd love to see a labradorite doggo that has the iridescence only in SOME places. Because the lovely part of stones that have the inner fire is the fact that you have to turn them around to find the angle to get the 'glow'.

You have a great point there! That would be lovely, and very much in the spirit of what makes labradorite special. (It's actually my favorite stone, hahah. So I'm definitely in agreement!)

THIS GUY! Mine is a traded late adopt so not grown yet but I'm pleased I keep an eye on this thread so I got to see him. I actually like this one much more than the first (though the first is gorgeous) and am HORRIBLY tempted to hoard him, hahahah. That line down the face is just stunning.

Nice! A lot better than it's littermates. If only the swirls covered more of the body, with some sort of a gradient.. one can dream. This has gotten me excited for the last outcome.

Eh. I think the usage of white is a bit of an overkill. If there had been a bit more black, and maybe some yellow tints like in the other outcome, I think I'd have liked it more. Oh, or if the eyes were yellow~ *ahem* I'm getting ahead of myself, ignore this comment.

Love it! The green in the eyes pops out beautifully against the darker coat. Mine is a traded late adopt, so I'll just have to wait three more days for it to grow.. heh

Only time (or Saikiyo lol) will tell if they really are supposed to be Mardi Gras related or if it's just a coincidence. The 'pillar does remind me of a little king cake though, yum~

These pillars don't actually have a real 'theme' to them the colors/coloring style was inspired by a side project of mine (I may show you when the pillars show their true colors). Mardi Gras (or anything similar) isn't celebrated where I come from and I actually know almost nothing about it

Can we hear what this project was now? Must be a pretty neat project seeing how the last butterfly wolf turned out!

Was it ever confirmed? I'm interested to find out what the project too :3
