All of my July 08 pets ARE from my pre-registration days. Eons ago, I definitely posted here that I got those pets on the very last call they allowed unregistered pets to the site. It's pretty dang amazing to say that I kept their codes in a notepad for roughly 8 months to salvage them for later.

Speaking of why I was here for July 08, I definitely came here from my Petz 5 fixation. Did someone say NICK made Petz A?!? That blows my mind, if so!

I might not be from 09-08, but I'm just floored how fast time flies o.o I cannot believe it's going to be 5 years on this site for me! :D I originally started playing this game and expected to be a short-lived obsession, but look at me now XD
I like coming to this thread to see other's views on what CS was back then, and makes me wish I was here when it was made.

I didn't know apology pets were actually a common thing others did, even though I do technically have one! Long story short, I got into a fight with one of my oldest friends (who joined CS but lost interest) and gifted me a pet saying "I'm sorry."

We're still great buds to this day, they're pretty shocked that I STILL play this game haha

i didnt have an account in 09, but my friend did! i thought to post anything, you had to be a professional coder, the whole layout confused me to no end!!
i also remember dates not being as important, but maybe its just because i was a kid and didnt know any better
looking back at my oldest trades, there were times where i gave someone a 2014 for a 2009 and no one batted an eye!

I can't stalk old pets I've gifted away, its too depressing. Like, I've gifted around five different ravens for example, and most of those, despite being the persons "dreamie" ended up traded or auctioned off like a week later. After all the effort and cost I went to get it. Or like, I remember getting an animal egg #5 for someone, and literally the next week they decided to quit CS, and they- didn't even offer to give it back or anything. Like dude, you were going crazy looking for this 5 mins ago, what happened. xD A bunch of other people I'm still friends with, who I met on CS, no longer play it because they've "outgrown it" so a ton of valuable stuff I gave them is just sitting there. I've definitely learned my lesson here. I'm not gifting lists to anyone who casually plays ever again, and I don't dare check up on any pets I've sent people in the past. It kills me. XD

jesus i relate so much, i had a raven that i begged my mom to let me buy then i gave it to someone accidentally i think ffdhdb im so mad. but ya like the omgsr grapes, i gifted those to someone because i felt bad for whatever reason (i got those back yaay) but ya just for someone whos an old player i have such a horrible collection because i gave everythiiing away as apologies

YES lol! the layout was so confusing to me back then - and also those malk fairies - I never knew how to put them on the pets (they were on unlimited supply for a while weren't they?) I wish I had dumped a few more on my pets XD

Speaking of dumping old pets at people for recent pets...I've done that all too often...

I also remember deleting pets back then just cause I didn't like the design (back in the ' 09 days) regrets hahah

I was absentmindedly thinking about the old site and remembered a fun little tidbit!

Do you guys remember when Nick had his own adoptables section? I think it was around 2009-- there was a "Nicks Pets" tab that he would add to occasionally. We loved them!
I could be misremembering this, but I'm pretty sure when you clicked on the section, there was a Nick art version of the CS logo. It was adorably derpy.

Sigh. I'm back after a very long hiatus. For whatever reason, I quit several years ago and gave away all the good pets in my collection. I had so many valuable pets. I would be unstoppable now if I still had them, lol. I remember before the site had Oekaki, and how the old layout was much more beige colored. I'm still learning the new etiquette, like what kind of avatars and signatures people use now. My current ones are still years old. My sister reminded me the other day that we called signatures, "siggys" xD
