for instance, i found this guy for 16 c$, that is how the person priced him and that's what i offered.

then someone said they got 100 for theirs and i'm like

C$ is tricky in its own right IMO its become so easy to obtain people just throw it at what they like (yes ik not everyone finds it easy to get but a lot of people do especially if you know how) And lions especially pps lions are like top tier demand wise for collectors
I do agree outliers are a huge huge huge problem. The successful trades thread is my go to place for suggesting people learn values but these days it has become under moderated in my opinion. You are allowed to post outliers but they must be marked as such. The ambiguity in the general CS trading rules allows for people to value their pets as they see fit which allows for people who understand the system to use it to their advantage. So instead of having clear outliers were having a similar issue to the FTT which is its becoming opinion again. A 1 non pet that gets 1.5-2 non due to someone really wanting it that day and is willing to pay doesnt then make that pet 1.5-2 non
We saw this with the pps dragon cat. A few outlier trades tried to push it from 1 to 1.5-2 non and were already seeing it back down to 1-1.5

& completely back everything that's been said on this thread about overpayments inflating values. there's a big problem in people doubling down on their own overpayments and insisting that since they themselves paid that price, it must be worth that. I've overpaid for trade fodder before, just gotta take the L & try to recuperate. we end up with a bunch of rarer pets with price tags absolutely no one is willing to pay
store pet values are also hella broken in this way, a store pet might be worth "4 old rares" etc but you'd be lucky to find someone who would take 8 old rares for them. 09'-10' rares aren't the currency they were a few years ago

I still don't think we should be using old rares as a method of valuing pets. One old rares might have a higher demand than the next. I mean technically a 2010 rare horse and a 2010 rare dog are the same but no one is trading their store pets for rare horses. So using them as a standard for values isn't consistent or accurate
