Both are some lovely lovely theories, but my hints are very much on the nose!
I will say that one of my hints is crucial to when you'll see the outcome.
Don't overthink it and happy guessing!
I will put this disclaimer out before preceding, I ALWAYS overthink everything. Sorry. And most likely I am off-base, but I kept going back to which hint is the crucial one, and I kept coming back to this one so I decided to explore it.
I’m beginning to think the hint you are speaking about but hasn’t been talked much about about is your Hint #5: What would your pups zodiac sign be? Probably a Capricorn, or Capricorn-Aquarius cusp!
Perhaps it was because you mentioned the Capricorn-Aquarius cusp, it just seems so specific, I felt it should be looked at a bit closer.
Before beginning, here are some common traits for Capricorns (from wellandgood.com),
here are the common traits to Capricorns
The actual symbol of a Capricorn is a horned goat with a fish tail, which is actually the only directly bizarre feature of this all-business star sign. Capricorns are interested in world domination, but they’re quite methodical about it. Because they’re so disciplined and well-mannered, they reach their goals with measured, polite steps up a gilded staircase.
• Hint #1: "All of my pups seem so sleepy! Perhaps that's a theme.... (invis text) it's not, or is it?"
• Hint #4: Dressed up staff pup updated with the lynx growth, still has dragon tail and mane. Says: "I'm not sleepy!"
Another trait to the Capricorn - (from alaskasleep.com) - Nobody loves to sleep as much as a Capricorn. Staying true to his element, a Capricorn easily burrows deep into his nocturnal cave and hates getting anything less than 12 hours of sleep each night.
It could also mean their eyes are closed
• Hint #2: Dressed up staff pup was found with a dragon tail.
• Hint #3: Answered Question with transparent text: As for designing my UR: Food-based: Wouldn't a cute little takeout box be the sweetest thing? General pet: I'd love to design a fancy plant-related animal of some sort!
or an eastern dragon, wink wink As I was looking at the Capricorn, I couldn’t help but notice its similarities to the look of the Eastern Dragon. Then I stumbled upon Dima Gur Astrology, The Capricorn Glyph Explained, and in this article found this:
“Consider the possibility that your good old sea-goat is actually a great sea serpent. Caps act it out all the time, rivaling Leos in the competition for being the fiercest and most authoritarian sign. Also consider that goats and Chinese dragons, in many depictions, have horns and a beard. We can also consider that in Chinese myths dragons are great sea serpents, which is another peculiar similarity. In terms of traits, dragons are depicted as old, wise, stubborn and cunning.”
• Hint #6: Does your pup have anything in common with fruit, vegetable or mineral? Not particularly, no!
Goats don’t have anything in common with these except maybe eating them
• Hint #7: Does your pup have a sordid past with others or is he/she fairly easy to get along with? - I would like to say they're an amicable pup to get along with, if perhaps a bit shy.
Again, referring back to the common traits of a Capricorn
Because they’re so disciplined and well-mannered, they reach their goals with measured,
polite steps up a gilded staircase.
Being polite tends to make a pup amicable
• Hint #8: If your pup could be considered "human", what job would it have, if any? - Something that involves doing a lot of tasks quickly and well, perhaps something akin to an accountant
(from zip recruiter.com
Accounting appeases several needs of the Capricorn, like helping others, fostering organization, and creating structure. Accountants must be dependable in working with clients and reporting financial findings accurately, so their patience and organization comes in handy.
• Hint #9: what does your pup smell like/of? Incense!
Ties back to the Eastern Dragon hint since incense are an integral part of Buddhism and Chinese Buddhist artists adopted the dragon as a symbol of enlightenment. Today dragons decorate roofs and gates of temples, both as guardians and to symbolize the dragon's power of clarity.
So, which pup do I think is wolfbane’s
and yes, I had to check who I was referencing since this answer is so long winded, I forgot lolI think is is one of these 2

They both have traits of a Capricorn - the horns on the first pup and a tail that may grow into a fish tail, and the tail of second pup. They both potentially could grow into an Eastern Dragon looking dog. Capricorn is an Earth sign, so I’m leaning more towards the top one since it also has leaves in the photo which depict the Earth.
Yeah, I am probably going down the wrong path again, but it was a fun path to take!
