I must have late adopts, but I adopted all my pets on the first, because it says my pets are only 18 days old?!

It's a 24 h cycle. For example, if you adopted them at 6:30pm on the 1st, then they won't grow until 6:30pm on whatever day. I adopted mine a couple of hours late, too, so I won't know what outcomes I got until later this evening, even though I adopted them on the 1st. Does that make sense?
