So are the chicks actually going to have anything to do with the designs of the parents?

2nd gens always do, some more than others, but so far all the egg colors are from the parents (some not as obvious, but they are all there). I imagine the actual marking designs will be derived from the parents as well.

Oh good, I was hoping so. I'm interested in seeing just how the designs work with one another as neither of the dads are my favourite roosters on site and I was having trouble seeing where the flags were coming from in regards to the roosters themselves
