I know it's weird but I was able to get 40 of them, just wanted to make sure...

Yes, everyone got 40. That's to give everyone a fair chance to get all the staff pets; going by that number, there are probably going to be close to 30 final outcomes. That, and that's what it usually hovers around. The past few year's final counts are 28, 32, and 23. I don't know how many there will be this year, but it will certainly be something in that range.

i counted 27 names listed but i may be off by one or two

This year's colour scheme seems interesting, and I do wonder how each staff had worked with it.
I was hoping for some sort of out there colour scheme this year, like a yellow + purple (Something we definitely haven't had) or even a triad triple colour scheme like Yellow + Purple + Aqua.

But now the waiting begins.

Based on the colors I immediately thought some sort of tropical thing Cx orange + aqua = YES.

That would make sense, since I believe last year's total adoption was 42. Lol, I somehow forgot they listed all the names on the adoption page.

My first cs staff how do we know which one is which after they grew? So excited ^^

Most of the staff tend to drop hints throughout the month as to which pup might be theirs, and some might have distinctive art styles that help identify their pup once it grows as well, so it's pretty much a guessing game. :3 Each staff member is only allowed to hint at their own pup (so we can't give any hints on other staff dogs), but the hints can take really any form, such as riddles, invisible text, hidden signature messages, seemingly innocent forum posts and so on. Of course, we also might say or do things that seem like they might be hints but actually are just red herrings >:D Also, even if someone guesses correctly, we might not claim our pup right away - for example, last year some staff waited until particular sets of traits had been correctly matched to their hints before claiming their pups.

Of course, once all the pups have been claimed, they'll be in the archive with their artist's name on them, too, so you can also just check there once they're all grown to see which belongs to whom. :3

Aww, you're sweet, I'm glad you liked her. I hope i can live up to your expectations this year as well. I certainly like mine this time around haha
