A lot of people got mad at me for thinking one trade was unfair. I don't pay attention to 'high demand' or anything like that. I also can't tell if something is a re-release either. >_< Like Tess called them, it's hard to learn 'invisible rules', the rest is easy. I'm not new, just in case anyone was thinking that... I can trade fairly just as long as 'invisible rules' don't take place.

On my opinion, this guide may have been perfect in 2009, but now there are more pets. A rare from this month, you can get more than 5 UCs from last month with it.

Yes and if you noticed, I have been updating it to fit the current situations of CS. I have been learning different strategies of trading since starting the alt account experiment and have been adding my finds in.
Instead of saying that 'it doesn't work' why don't you tell me what part of the guide didn't work for you and what you would do to improve it?
There's also a disclaimer saying that this doesn't fit all situations. We've only had the 'crazy rare of the month' thing for four months. We had the same fluke 'crazy rare' thing in 2009, but people complained so it wasn't done anymore.
I'm hesitant to update something that may just be a fluke.

I'm posting this a little late for my situation, but whatever.
Thank you for making this . I meddled with some of the strategies and changed the whole idea around a bit, but this guide was my basic path to getting my first dream pet, the 08 grey Tess mini husky [and then the pink husky was gifted to me ]. I'm really glad my hunt was successful, so thank you again for making this!

I'm sorry if I seemed rude or anything.
I'm just saying, there are more pets now, you can trade one of this month's rares for a lot of last month's pets, and no one will want last month's pets anyway. Well, almost no one.

And I think trying to get all of the newborns isn't a great idea.
I have a technique but I think if I shared it, it wouldn't work anymore, because so many people would be doing it D:

Actually I've gotten most of my 2012 pets as handouts from gifts or adoption centers. A good number of 2011 pets too I'm just not sure how to work the idea in that most of the current year can be gotten for free.
