Based on past experiences with newbie-n00bs, this is the way it works on here when it comes to trading:

-- If someone refuses to do what you want, they are officially mean/rude and should be reported.
-- Begging will totally guarantee you some awesometastic pets.
-- You are new, therefore everyone must give you pets. (See above)

That about right?

*sigh* I know why people send trades that are blank.

I set up a couple trades, usually asking for trading a number of pets. This takes a while to set up and put in a nice trade message.

I then get trade offers from other people and I accept because they're fair, canelling all the other trades I had just set up and even deleting the message because of auto cancel. Ugh.

This place is like.. becoming my home or something. I feel like the crabby old lady next door that complains in everything presented to her.

Okay, I've sent out a few trades today. Seems a lot of people are looking for PPS pets.

I'm feeling generous, so I offer two Jan striped pets and a Valentine PPS for four hoard pets (Sept 09) and a couple of valentine rats.
It comes back with no less than 4 Oct PPSs, a pink Sept and three other PPSs

Guess that's a no.

I offer a 2008 Oct PPS and ask for 12 common pets of this month. They send it back asking for the Sept PPS instead.

No. What makes you think pets from right now are worth an 08 dog of any sort?

I ask for 9 hoard pets (common pets from this month) for two Jan striped pets (The user joined in May and has no more than that for pets) I figured it was a nice deal.

Nope. They ask for a Sept, an advent and an oct for them.

Trading sure is changing fast. Seems either Sept and Oct pets have gotten so low on the trade scale that they are only worth beans or people really like this month's pets.

That's why I've officially given up and locked my trade groups. If you have older pets in your group, a new member wants nothing but the oldest pet there in trade for even a common current pet. I'm just going to stick to trading with friends from now on.

And what really, really irks me is this: A new member will send me a trade that isn't a beg trade (ie: what they're offering probably isn't fair, but it's clear they've attempted to make a fair trade in their eyes). When a new member does that I'm more then happy to help them out. I'll edit the trade and send them more then they asked for. Nice deal, right? 20 or so more pets then they asked for, plus the ones they wanted, all for their original offer of a handful of current pets? Apparently not, because more often then not, they won't accept the trade, but instead re-edit it asking for even MORE pets and taking all or almost all of the pets they had originally offered off. All I did in the first place was give them more pets, thats the only edit I made instead of simply accepting their trade. The absolute greed some people show is ridiculous.


Also, for my final beg trade ever (since my groups are now locked, unless someone PMs it) was this: dark eyed galaxy, 8 older PPS pups (the 3 march ones, the strawberry, 2 coraline ones, panda, and red panda), 2 warrior dogs from last month, grown sortic from this month. For black newborn BHA horse, sortic blanket, school blanket, and retro blanket. Message: Pls accept! lets b tradng parners!

I think I'd be getting the short end of the stick in that partnership. But thanks anyway. And since apparently telling beg traders off is rude, I simply told them I wasn't interested and apologized for not accepting the trade. So it'll be up to the next person who gets a trade from them to tell them where they went wrong.

Four Novembers, the rare dark leopard from Jan, three other Jan dogs and a malk dog.

Fine. Now everything's blocked off and these stupid trades will stop. My trade dogs get to rot here with me because newbish people want more butter on their bread.
