People, to offering a couple of common/very common pets for older or rarer pets is not necessary a begging trade! (Depending on how long the person have been a member and used the forum)
It's a newbie trade. If the person just joined a week ago or so how should they know about rarities?
Of course if the message is 'Plz accept the trade, it is fair' then you could probably call it a beg trade. But it's not necessary a beg trade.

A beg trade is if they want any pet from you and don't offer anything in return and just think you will accept. And the message is 'plz I really want that pet' or 'Can I have this pet' or in worst case 'plz, I am beggin you. Plz give me that pet' or just don't write a message. That's a beg trade, which I hate and despise!

You can't just think that a newbie know about rarities, that's simply not fair. I had no clue about rarities when I first joined so how should newbies today know about them, when there are even more rare pets now?

At all. I only sent trades to people who had topics in the Free Adoptions, and I always read the person's trade rules. Maybe I was unusual, I don't know.

I get plenty of trades from people who I can obviously see HAVEN'T read my rules or just chose to ignore them. I say right in them, at the top in big read, all caps letters, "TRADES ARE NOT GIVEAWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and yet, some people still send trades with nothing on their end. o_e It also says, "If you ask for a pet for free(Or for normal second gens, common butterfly wolves, common cats, etc), you probably won't get it" *eye twitch* [/rant]

That's not what I say.

I did the same as you when I was newbie. Grabbed a lot of free pets in the free adoption forum, read threads and rules and learned the rarities before I started on trading.
But some newbies just jump in the trading forum before knowing anything about rarities. So how should they know the rarities? If they truely offer what they think is fair and read your rules then how could you call that a begging trade? It can be annoying like h*** (sorry, but it's true XD ) but it's still not a begging trade.
If they ignore your rules and don't read anything and sound rude or simply beg. Then it's fair to call it a beg trade.
But common for rares isn't necessary a begging trade, depending on the circumstances of course. I don't say all common for rare trades are newbie trades.

Sorry, I hope I didn't offend you. I kind of see what you mean. I forgot to say that it doesn't really bother me if they're polite in the way they ask, only if they don't bother to thank me or are just rude.

No, not at all^^
I just feel horrible now, so I forget smileys (I'm sick... And I tend to forget smileys when I'm either sick or tired X] )
So no offend at all, every people are free to have their own opinion^^ I just say that I don't always see them as a beg trade, probably because I'm too kind?
But I freak out when they do beg. It's not allowed and I don't give out free pets, only if I offer them the pet(s). And rude trade messages are considered beg trades in my opinion, no matter what pet they want and offer.
But it really depend on the circumstances.

Recently I've been getting about 5-6 trades a day. Actually, about every time I open CS, which is about every hour or two. (No clue if that is a lot for someone who posts on the forum about once or twice a week, or anything like that. <<) Most of them are... well, I'm not sure. I'm guessing newbie trades, though I've gotten, from what I can tell, a few begging trades. And, just... I don't know. >> Nonetheless it is kinda annoying, especially since I have rules up. This one person keeps ignoring them, too. I think only two people have actually read them. Bah.

I'm sick of people and thier wishy washy rules that don't add up.

Example A:
Someone is offering free pets in the adoptables section. In the thread they say choose two. In thier trade message they say, choose up to 3. I ask for 3.

Four days later, they cancel screaming abouse at me "I SAID NO MORE THAN 2! "

I send the trade back with two and a message attached explaining the fact that thier messages are two different ones. How was I supposed to know which one you took a higher liking to?

The trade was just canceled and they kept the pets. Excuse me?! If you're going to set up a "free pets" section, how is it legal that you're being selective on who you trade with? Thanks a lot. It's not like I was being rude to them like they were. Thier trade message still says three, so no telling how many people this person has screamed at for no reason.

I think I sent a trade to that same person awhile back. Only it was a bit different. They were set up in the free pets section, had a list of 10 pets and said they 'had to get rid of these' and just 'send a trade'. I sent a trade for one (common current pet I had missed) and got the response back 'THEY ARE NOT FREE! THEY ARE FOR TRADE!' and they had added a few July '08s on my end. So I cancelled it with the reply that if they weren't free they shouldn't put a post in the free pets section and say they're free.

They sent a trade back, for the July pets again, and a different common pet from them. And their message was that they didn't say that they were free anywhere. And added: 'Thanks for these'. What? Cancelled with no message.

Okay, I lock all my groups that don't want to trade. I put in my trade groups that I'd trade some of the locked groups for really good offers, but I also have in parenthese some groups that I simply will not trade out of unless its for wishlists.

The Outsiders aren't for trade at all. And I randomly get this message-

Two- The Red Rose isn't for trade unless you're offering a wishlist.

I state if you want to trade from one of my locked groups to PM me to trade. I MEAN PM me with a LOGICAL offer. Not PM me saying, "If you'll open these groups I'll send you an amazing offer!" <.<' What aggitates me the most? This person joined in october of last year! For the win! And they don't know how to read trade rules. *sigh*

Ohwell. I Pmed them back nicely telling them that they need to read rules before sending PM's offering to trade.

Idk to read trade rules because most people are wayyyyyyy to picky. Like the pm with an offer rule? pshhh. If they don't like the way I pm or trade they can just not trade with me and get over it.

Hum. Lol, most people's rules are really simple and easy to follow. Perhaps if you don't want to follow them you shouldn't be asking for trades. You'll never get anyone to trade with you by not following their rules. No one has to trade with you at all. People love their pets and are hard for a reason. Because people ABUSE them if they aren't. They send random strange, "OH SNAP GIVE ME THAT PET," Trades. It annoys people to no ends so they make their trade rules hard.

So, it's not really a rant, more like a "erm, okay...?" trade I got a few days ago:
So I'm looking for the rainbow-maned horse. Someone sends me a trade for some of my dogs and a few bunnies saying they'll trade their's for them. Then about a day or so later they cancel saying something along the lines of "oops, nvrmnd, i ended up trading it"

Erm, okay?
