Do you guys remember the time when it was cool to change your font? Like to use a blue tiny font.

Today it annoys me, but I do remember a time when I changed my font in every post I made, haha.

But at this point I don't like looking at my posts without the grey font, it looks messy and wrong to me even though it doesn't bother me on other people's posts at all lol
Just got too used to it and am too lazy to force my brain to accept the black again.

I used to have to do size 85 font and all centered.

Now I’m on mobile strictly and couldn’t care less. =‘)

I just found this thread. I used to have an account in ye olde days, but I can't for the life of me figure out what year it was.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it before, but do you guys remember when the Pound had all the pets visible at the same time and you had to click through pages?

Yesss. And you could just go straight to all the ‘valuable’ pets lol.
It’s such a vague memory because I didn’t adopt from the pound much back then.

I completely understand why and how the 'List' trading has come into play.... But I soooo miss the simplicity of just being able to just trade a V.rare for a V.rare from the same year. I played from 2009-13, then adult life took over and I had to put CS on the back burner. I rejoined in 2016 ish and it's a whole new ball game and a whole new load of things to learn :'D I've been trying to navigate it all ever since, I don't think I'll even be able to have a complete collection anymore.
But I'm still trying to enjoy the process of collecting the newer ones

How far back do I remember? I remember back when the adoptables were off a petz based site and when Tess was hexing things to trade on a petz forum related to her characters. Yeah I remember that far back. I'd see the "Chicken smoothie" pets used a lot as signatures.

I didn't join the site though until about April 2009 for CS's first B-day. Since then I've been off and on. I remember the first Easter egg hunt. There was about a 3 hr wait between collecting banner pets. That was shortened eventually to 20 min.

i remember going allll the way to the last page of the pound whenever it opened too hahah. i snatched some good ones! i remember everyone eyeing certain pets in the pound too and it was a race to get them since it was such a different system...

i also had a LOT of nice pets like 2008 july/august + advent dogs and other really nice releases, but silly kid me ended up trading them for art and i still don't know why i did that lolol. i had the full zodiac dog set too, which got really popular for some reason and i still don't know why...? like i remember people would auction them off and stuff. i gave them all away to someone for free because they were their dreamies apparently and i was kinda sad bc they ended up trading them all off like a day later....

also i remember when merged accounts were super popular before they stopped doing that omg. i saw a few merged accounts recently and it gave me hella whiplash like some people still have them?? wow

I remember when all we had to do was trade Rare/Rare or VR/VR. I'm not keen on the List bit as it does make others "charge" for their pet a lot more than what they're truly worth. I ran into that when I was trying to get the emerald St. Patty's day tess dragon (which is no longer on the List... THANK THE GODS!!!). I had to pay a lot more for it than what is was worth.

The "list" does irk me a bit as well. I get that it's about demand, but at that point why not just auction? I feel like trading was a bit fairer back in the day since nobody cared too much about month/year unless it was an 08. Nowadays I have to really stand my ground on dates when trading. Before the rarity system was implemented, it was kind of a blessing because unless something was an obvious rare, people were okay with quick swaps. Trading has a lot of mental gymnastics going on now...
