I'd like to add that, but I'm not sure how to add that as a static value....

Think about how much the list has changed over the past few years. In 2010, there was 3 categories of advents. Now there are 10. It kinda makes my head spin... Then there's always those "wild rares" like the RBM, Wolf PPS and lions that pop up once in a while that make it nearly to or on the list just by default. That will happen again as the years go by and there's yet another list (09) in the works, yes?

Then when you put up VR distinctions, won't the other rarities also want more distinction? How the heck would you gauge that...

Then remember that's three categories per tier because you have single variation, blanket and non dog. This is why I'm always hesitant about making a category. It's not just making one category, it's often tentatively increasing my work load exponentially, so it really needs to have a solid reason for adding.

Maybe that's something for a mini-list?

If someone wants to make an offshoot of the world records that goes that in depth to categories or wants to make a nitty gritty out of the bucket list that people have been requesting like records for each species, PPS by year or other crazy idea, go for it! but I really don't think I'll be able to maintain both lists at once. As it is, I need to set aside an hour just to update this list. Maybe we can get a collab up for a dual list where the other list goes more in-depth and this one remains a general list?

Well, i thought of it as only for the very rares because those have more categories.

So you'll have 8 very rare spots, one for each of these; normal very rares, advents, septembers and mains lists dogs
and one for each of those but with nondogs. There is no blanket stage in either of the rarities hoards because there aren't that many litters that share the same rarities.

The guide lines would be very simply tho. If it's not on the lists, it goes under normal very rare. If it's on the advents lists, it goes there. Regardless of when that pet was added to the advents list or what tire it is, you'll still have that 'competitive' thing going on.

The other rarities won't have to be expanded because there is simply no way to expand them? There are no uncommons on the lists, and no omg so rares below the main list. As for rares, there are only a hand full of rares on the advents list so the rare section could also get an 'advents list' section and a 'not advents list' section.

There may not be uncommons on the list, but you can be sure that by dividing the world records by categories set by the list, somewhere on down the line someone will be looking at the CS records with no knowledge of the community made list and say, "Hey, there's 8 categories for VR and only one R/U/C! make it fair because you're catering to the VRH community and not to those who hoard commons!"

It will get even messier once the 09 list shows up because then that will have to be added to the records, whatever it happens to be. "because it's a list too" and will possibly contain all three rarity markers.

As much as I'd really love more categories to stick my own hoards back in, I'd really rather this list stick to something concrete like the official labels so it is a clear category that is not bound by the whims of the community-made lists.

There's no 09's list ^.^ (The list that is being worked on is mainly the left over,rare/veryrare, 08's.) But i see what you mean. It's a shame, i would've loved to have my toxics in here but i can't possible get as many toxics as la Roux's can get mustards xD (not to mention the value my hoard has is already much much larger then hers loool)

You could always link back to these world records on the first post of the list records or whatever. State and bold the fact that it is solely for list pets and there is a list for C/UC/VC etc. Just trying to help ^^

I know exactly how that feels. *pokes Firestar dog hoard.*
My "Of the dead hoard" has SO many VR and R members that it is quite impossible to ever get that slot back despite mine being worth more several times over. So you're not alone in that frustration of, there is literally no way to catch up because I'm running uphill and they are running downhill. >.<

If I had more time, I'd make a list JUST for the design hoards for when a design is repeated over 3 or more pets. There can't be too many of those, can there? XD Maybe I'll go count and see if something like that is feasible... but I'd love to see someone create a "VR" records list for the three categories of RaresList and one for each species so the lions don't have to compete with bunnies

So if say I make a list like that, it would be okay because it intrigues me and I can see many people enjoying the having the mini-list spin-off of this list that goes more in depth. Obviously I know it will be lots of work but it sounds kind of fun really but I want to make sure it would be okay.
