Hoarding is still kind of a problem, especially with older pets, but it's mostly the combination of both hoarding and people just not adopting or adopting super late that leads into an issue of finding said pets in the moment. I kind of don't understand why people don't just take a breath and try and find them next month when the hype has died down a bit?
Yeah I do think hoarding can be a problem when done poorly, but it isn't necessarily the problem. There is definitely an issue when people are hoarding hundreds and hundreds of a rarer pet, causing many people to miss out on ever being able to get said pet, especially when these people refuse to trade any of their hoard or only accept massive overpay. For the pps lion right now, I think some hoarders are causing some minor issues when they take a bunch of them causing fewer people to be able to find one to trade for. But I think the biggest issue is those that are expecting massive overpay (like 2009 rares) for it, which is not very fair to newer users who don't have things like that and just want to complete the monthly collection.

Most people aren't hoarding Hundreds and hundreds of the rarer pets though . They're just as hard for hoarder to get as for regular people. + Most of the time hoarders overpay, so again they're not going to have the fodder. There is no way the few Very rare + Hoarders are having that much impact on the trading economy .
The difference is they put in the time looking, they don't do minimal work, and expect it to fall into their lap.
YOU too can go though the active online list and see if they have the pet you want for trade - and beat the hoarders to it.
