I've kinda been wondering this for awhile but since most, if not all, species now have several PPS outcomes would a category be added for like Largest PPS Horse Hoard and Largest PPS Cat hoard etc? I know we have the largest single variation PPS Dog hoard, the largest PPS Dog hoard and the Largest PPS Non-Dog and Largest PPS Single Variation hoard which both cover any species but since the largest PPS Non-Dog hoard can have anything that isn't a dog in it I think at least a blanket PPS hoard for each species would be a nice addition since dogs get their own PPS hoards but everything else is just tossed under one general heading. =)

There is a reason for that and that is, there are very very few PPS only litters. To the point where I can go into the archive and count all of them on one hand in a given year so I'm a little apprehensive about adding something that has very few choices.

Species are also pretty small when compared to the rest of the year. Granted, last year was a big one for PPS cats sitting at 3 litters in total that had a PPS outcome.

What kind of entries would you have for the PPS horse hoard?
-Vday PPS
-Sunset litter PPSes
-Vday 2nd gen pony 2011
??

The cats?
-Munchkin litter
-Lion litters July/June
-Faire cats
-4 Bday cats
??

So, in order to qualify for this hoard, you'd have to find a lot of only around 5 outcomes to pick from at best. Just because there are representations of that category doesn't mean it is big enough to be added. This many change next year though. I'll be keeping track of them on a card to see if any have population growths big enough. I'm currently counting lions and seeing if they have a big enough representation to be separated from "special species"

That's very true but I was thinking just a Largest PPS Cat/Horse/Lion/Rat/whatever type hoard. Not a litter hoard and I suppose I worded my question a little wonky. Basically, I have this hoard containing all PPS rats (except the spider rats because I don't like them >.>).

If there was a Largest PPS Rat hoard category I could enter (and probably get beat, my hoard is rather small-ish xD) and anyone who hoards all PPS variations (of just multiple variations) of a single species (so every PPS cat ever released as an example) would have a category they could enter without needing to try and beat the group that can have every PPS species out there and has an easier time collecting multiple pets for their group.

Anyway, if that makes any sense (sorry if I'm not, it's my birthday today and I had a drink with dinner ;3) and a category would be added that would be cool. But I also understand why such categories may not be added as there aren't very many PPS outcomes of all species (the butterfly wolves have 4? 5? total, not a lot) but I was just curious. =)

I think they want to have separate PPS records for the species. ^^; So one for cat PPSs, one for rat and so on. However, there aren't that many rat PPSs and... what, three lion PPSs? I could really only see it happening for cats and horses/ponies, if at all.

I am guessing they want certain categories for the different speices, not just a 'non dog' variation-
eg.)
Largest PPS cat hoard
not just
Largest PPS non-dog hoard
cause they are hard to compete with..

But that's just a guess..
