Maybe also include a section about items released in events. Items that members have to work for are usually worth a bit more and can often have some demand depending on the item than the freebie items.

My only concern: The older list had a lot of other '10 items (and something like worth a late 10 uncommon) on it, that are not mentioned anymore... now I have now idea if (for example) my dolphin ballon is worth a bit, or nothing it all. I know, the old list was inaccurate, but it still helped to have an overview on year+aprox. worth (:

The list was getting far too big to keep updated and there's always very little input. Since the items are archived now and we have the wiki it should be easier to determine how old an item is. Following the guide on the front page should get you to the value it was before, or something more accurate. The dolphin balloon was valued at an early '10 uncommon in the previous list, and since it was released early 2010 this will get you to about the same valuation. As to if it's worth a rare because they are hard to find, or an uncommon still... up to the traders really. There's almost no trade data for us to go through to find these valuations, so it's really just the opinions of a very small group of players. Having such a heavy list wasn't working because the values changed but we didn't have the time to change them with it, and to analyse each item was hard because we have virtually nothing to base it on but the stuff in the guide on the front page. It just seemed the most fair to traders to let them decide the values of the items themselves, but provide a guidance to help them out as much as possible so they're not guessing in the dark.

Yes i totally understand you, item trades are indeed rather rare... o_o Thanks for putting a lot effort into putting the current list together!
It would be really helpful if the Admins released a List of how many items were ever released, it would help the users to figure out the actual rarity of the items a little better, but that#s just a random thought that isn't really possible to realise. I love calculating with rarities and numbers xD

Still- I'd prefer having a basic list as a guide for a minimum value, at least. For example, I just recieved a trade for the Nick Laptop at a value of about an early 2013 UC. And since the new list only includes the oldest items/sets, I'm not entirely sure if its even worth bookmarking, since I very rarely trade/find people willing to trade older items.

My point being, if the old list could be posted on the front page again(in conjunction with the pretty new list) it may be more effective. Especially since not many people use the CS Wiki. Even if the value listed isn't very accurate anymore, I strongly agree that it's better than the shots in the dark I keep getting. (Disclaimers can go a long way)

I also feel like I shouldn't cancel unfair trades and include a link to this thread when this thread doesn't include as much.(Does that make sense?) I mean, I can still use search and find the copy of the front page, but it doesn't have the same power as it did when it was the first page...

I agree, however, Nick has addressed the same request concerning pets, an the answer was a solid 'no', so I doubt that'll happen. (And yesss numbers are fun >w<)

Since it takes a lot of time to make such a big list I'm sure there isn't always time to do so. Hoqever, i might be able to help out by making such a list as we had here before. I'll pm sol about this soon so we won't spam up the thread with our discussions xD
