When my friend Drucilla left, she gave me a ton of her pets; some of her old hoards were - and appear to still be record holders, and she asked me to keep them together. Even though she's not on CS anymore, would you please mention her as the record older, and not me? <3 I'm sure there are older members who would remember her, and after all, she did all of the work!

That question is a little tougher.

Are there any items that are hard to get? AFAIK, the rarest non custom item is only worth a Sept 08. Seems like anyone could get a complete collection of items far, far easier than a complete collection with very few rareslist pets involved. That doesn't sound too easy to you?

Do we count 'custom' items? Like the full cake set, chicken hats etc.
For pets, one can easily verify if someone has all pets by going though each folder.
For items, someone could just lock their items and there would be no way to check to see if they do indeed have all items.
So, this would only work if A. They did not put their items on ANY pet and kept the full item collection in the item box so anyone could verify their claim to have all items at any time and B. They'd have to always keep their items unlocked.
That seems a little counter productive to not be able to use the items you are collecting, so I'm going to say no to this until we get a way of handling items that would work with and not against this kind of record.

You have her name in the linked group. I think that is the better way as putting a name to a hoard of someone that no longer plays and doesn't match the name of the record holder would cause confusion.
