I wasn't entirely sold on the hognose guess. The spots and colors on the kittens just weren't quite right. The spots are definitely not wildtype, looks more like conda spots but condas have black bellies which the kittens don't.
But that cat is a wildtype hognose snake, if I ever did see one! :D
And it looks like we're gonna get a conda too from the split (maybe even a super conda?) 8D

Very excited about this litter. I love hognoses, they're adorable <3

It doesn't remind me of the hognose, but the Western Diamondback rattler. I see nothing of a hognose in this pattern.

I do think it looks like a wild type hognose although the patterning does seem a bit dark but every snake does have some variation. (Although it could have the Shadow color trait). I am so hoping for some conda patterns though, and if we get a super conda I might just scream!

A Diamondback can look similar, but they have diamond shaped spots on their backs and they have less contrast between the light and dark than hognoses do. But spots and shading are all for camouflage in the wild, so many will have similar earthy tone markings/coloring. BUT if someone would do rattlesnake themed pets in the future, it would be so awesome to see all the rattles they come up with!

Edit:

Is this an ARTIC Axanthic and not just a Axanthic!?!?!?!?!? This may just be my new favorite pet and my new dream morph to get in the future!

If someone does, I will be praying for a Blue Diamondback. I saw one on YouTube and it was gorgeous!

wow! I hadn't seen this beauty since I didn't adopt them naturally. What a pleasant surprise when I finally updated my wishlist today! I think this'll end up being my favorite outcome this month, depending on what their white sibling grows up looking like

I get collage vibes from them myself. Like, tissue paper (though the gridding puts me more in the mind of a sheer fabric) mod podged into layers? It's a really cool look, yeah!

It reminds me strongly of some abstract paintings I saw in a museum or in class at some point, but I can't quite put my finger on anything more specific

DId anyone else have most of their butterfly wolves grow on day 17? I have one day 6 and the rest are day 17. I missed the other two growths.
