What trades of yours have been reversed?*READ RULES*

Not sure how relevant this is but I’ve definitely seen an influx of “quitting users”, I go to send a trade for their free pets and then go to see the account has been deleted

we got a few before the accounts went poof, and the trades aren't canceled. the pets simply sit in limbo on the trades. going to see if their pages still exist at all.

edit: all the pets do have pages, but those pages are still linked to the account that doesn't exist. what happens to those pets? there were a lot that account had.

i imagine the account will sit as non-existent until the user who actually owns the account wants to sign in? or until they figure it all out. idk tho.

i had this one reversed around 3 hours ago, i'm not all that surprised though honestly. this was a gift from a user who had joined today yet had so many omgsrs, '10 and older TDs and such- so i was just waiting for that to happen. still kinda bummed about the cat though lmao

there's typically three main parts to a reversed trade:
- unsorted pets that you don't know where you got them from
- either one (for reversed gifts) or two trades with one empty side in your trades history (one from you, one from the user the trade involved)
- a message on those trades saying that it was reversed by staff (most(?) admin can reverse a trade) along with a trade number, #[long string of numbers here]

most reversed trades can be identified by the third part, but the second two helps identify how old the trade was and what to look for in your typically extensive trade history.

From an adoption center made today xx ~ I think many people were able to adopt from it but then got suspicious - it’s so interesting too because a user posted a meme saying how the suddenly quitting user was sus and the said hacker acted confused in their comment. This is becoming a big problem, in the last few weeks A LOT of hackers have gotten into accounts and “quit” it’s like they want to cause everyone trade reversal problems

Did y'all get a notification for the reversed trades this time? And, I hope this is OK to disclose, are these coming from the free adoptions board?

no notification, i had a feeling the pets i adopted were gonna be sent back anyway because all of a sudden multiple people decided to quit at once? so i came back to this thread then checked my trades and i saw they were reversed.

edit; my question is, why reverse the trades if you're gonna delete that user's accounts anyway?

I have this question also ~ isn’t it better to let the pets circulate in the trading economy than sit in an deleted account??

Had this reversed. At least the trade includes a message now:

(The site administrator --------- made this trade to reverse trade #105432890.)

This trade included pets or items from a compromised account so it needs to be reversed to return them. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I still wish notifications were implemented, but I assume admin team has their hands full trying to prevent and cull this hacker(s).

The part where they say the account was compromised is new. I only got the first part that says "the site administrator x" reversed the trade, with no explanation afterwards. Altough for most trades it was pretty obvious why they were reversed.
