Wow, I just have to say. I play Cs for a long time +- 10 years, and I always use the rares list for trading. The list always have a good function. I don't know why to change this now...
So bad and sad...
I think most of people that voted for discontinue the list are new players or who played cs for a couple of years..

i've been on and off cs since 2008, and i voted retire. when you joined has nothing to do with if you agree with the list or not. that's a matter of personal opinion.

Yes, I joined Sept 08 and I voted retire as well. This narrative of generalizing who voted for what option shouldn’t continue. It was a big topic on the regular thread and I hope it doesn’t start on here. It really was personal opinion and completely random.

Anyway, hoping the rarity guide will be done in the near future to help ease the uncertainty many have here. I am happy as is and excited about the thought of trying to trade for the URs I Need without worrying about how many thousands of advent dogs they were supposedly worth. ^_^

I also joined in 2008, back in august, and I voted to retire this list. things were so much simpler back before the rares list was law. it's the entire reason why the current trading economy is so messed up and there just wasn't any fixing that without starting anew. the way I see it,,,,,if we survived back then without it, we can survive now without it, too. I wanted to be free of the list and not have to worry so much anymore.

since when did trading stop being fun? I can pinpoint the exact date that it happened for me: when I got ridiculed over a trade I thought was fair, then again years later when the rares list staff immediately shut down the community's opinions because they were 'invalid'. then yet again when cs staff backed the rares list rather than the community. I know the rares list started with good intentions, but over time, it just became greed-driven and toxic.

I, for one, am glad to see this chapter end in cs history, and I'm very excited to start a new one!
