Interested in Helping in a Rarity Experiment?

I don't see the point in this.... Every pet has it's rarity to the person at heart. What if a pet you delete a simple very common could be valued as a OMGSR In someone's eyes

If you have an unwanted PPS, give it to me or any one wanted pet cause hoards are often the cause of rarity going higher.... I'll take the pets you hate

Well even though people value some pets differently we're attempting to change the actual rarity it's labeled as. And hoarding a pet doesn't effect rarity at all, I believe I've read that the rarity is based off the percentage/ratio of that pet to users, that's why you see older uncommons turn rare and so on. The only thing hoarding may do will be increasing demand.

And I don't want to sound mini-mod-ish but asking for free pets is considered begging and against the rules....:I

Would you delete these two beautiful pets because they are common the rarity is a price tag and you shouldn't worry about it because those pets won't magically reappear once you delete it.

I'm pretty sure that no one here hates that dog.

Though on that note, I've decided that I can't delete pets after all (no one persuaded me of this, I just decided that I couldn't bear it after thinking about it) so don't bother putting me on the list.

This still seems like an interesting experiment, though, so I'll be watching from afar.

With the way these guys say it they would be willing to delete them which I find wrong... Just cause a mutt is ugly and mixed or even beautiful should it be put down because of how easily it is found....

And if these dogs were real, I would agree with you. However, they are just pixels on the computer.

If they matter so much to you, I suggest you start hoarding them to protect them from people who want to delete them.

I am I already started and my friend Wild has too.. Pixels are art would you burn a canvas if it held a beautiful painting that showed someone put time into it

No I wouldn't, but the people who are doing this aren't planning to destroy every single one of these dogs on CS. And it's not really comparable to a painting either; more like a very pretty mass-produced poster (meant with the greatest respect toward the artists involved in this dog's creation, and everyone who likes the dog's art. I like them myself)

No because I do computer art.... More time goes into it than normal art because you have to slowly dye through the colors to get the right blend to make the beautiful pet in front of you which is why I appreciate every pet from rat to dragon....... They were made on a canvas just not a painting one..... Seeing how they want to up the value it will take a lot of pets to make a VC suddenly a UC or Rare.... That will take a lot of pets being thrown out.... If a poster is mass produced then obviously people are willing to take them

So just a question, have mods ever explained why rarities increase? Or is it just something unknown that you guys are trying to figure out?
