Accepting Gifts

For me I keep them in my collections or use them to trade for other pets I love. If I accept I will try to "pass on the kindness" usually here on CS or on other games as well by giving gifts or being extra kind, offering lots of help, etc.

I have canceled a couple gifts but I don't often. Sometimes during events people will offering me a pet I'm actually hoarding to help me "complete my collection." I like to cancel those and encourage the user to gift it to someone who is missing it if it seems like they don't realize its a hoard I'm looking for. I get extremely confused though when I gift comes through without a message, sometimes I accidentally leave them to rot because I'm not sure what to do. It hasn't happened as much now that I put that in my trade rules though.

I like to give gifts to people who have said something I like or who have something interesting on their profile. I love to randomly gift under-appreciated dress-ups that I really love or am impressed by! I never expect users to keep any gifts I give them. Whether its something they love or helps them get something they love it doesn't matter to me!

There's a lot of people who give gifts here on chicken smoothie. Including gift bombers and gift wars and every thing else. SO my question is what do you think you should do when you're accepting a gift? What if you don't want it? I'm asking you what you do when you get a gift.

For me, I always try to say something more than "thank you". Generally I will TRY to gift back something if I can, but not always. I'm kind of socially awkward so I spend a lot of time typing out a non - weird response thats genuine and not forced, which is sometimes what it sounds like.

I always accept and say thank you, I usually gift something back but not always. I have a gift folder with all my gift and I dress them up when I'm bored!! Even if its a pet I dont want I just think its sweet someone took the time out of their day to think about me <3

i don't accept gifts anymore. even when i was active i didn't do anything with uncommon and below pets so id usually have to regift them and it made me feel bad. i appreciate acts of kindness but at some point a gift is better given to someone else. i put "no gifts" in my trade rules and i kinda worried that id miss out on some rich quitting player randomly blessing me but overall it was a good decision.
