I really wish I was here for the very beginning of CS (like, before 2008. Like, when pets was first released. I wasn’t born yet, oof.) I’m hoping that somewhere, there is another website with more old adopts. What if for CS’s, I dunno, 18th birthday, we have like a CS rewind (like the YouTube rewind but waay cooler). That would be a w e s o m e. Like, a history of pets, swk, CS, and historical events! Wow. I feel like an archeologist finding all these old adopts! Hope I find more to share with you guys!

the pocky box became one of the first CS items at Christmas 2008 even though its quite a different style to CS pets

That makes me wonder, can CS be sued for having a Pocky item O_O
The thought scares me

I wonder what the CS background used to look like? It's all broke in geocities.
Also if I'm correct CS comes from Tess's old username, chickensmoothie.

I thought of that too. However, CS did not sell these items for real money; they were free. Unless CS is making real money off Pocky, Warriors, Bunnicula, etc., they will not be sued.

I thought of that too. However, CS did not sell these items for real money; they were free. Unless CS is making real money off Pocky, Warriors, Bunnicula, etc., they will not be sued.

Yeah but some companies don't care too much, Youtube, for example, has copy strikes on even private videos.

Still, I don't think they make items of that sort nowadays? It kind of makes me sad but also proud of how far this site has come.. (since the size of the platform usually means more exposure and yadda yadda)

yeah we wouldn't release another pocky box for that reason. It's a special relic lol

The earliest CS pets didn't exist on accounts so they were re-released in the 2008 advent calendar (they're those dogs/rats)

The Petz series of games has actually been replaced by a newer version which is really different but uses the same name. So it's hard to find. The original games are ancient, like from 1995 - 2002 or something. There are still some people playing but they're mostly adults who were into the games back then

Funny fact: there was a popular Petz site that had a very strict signature size limit. The baby rat adoptables were just under the limit, but as soon as they grew up the adults were over the limit and people got in trouble for it.
