A purple toxic is on the main list below gap and his pets are above the gap, i think its pretty fair but demand for the flower is pretty bad (i have one too) You can get a second opinion though

Both are harder to trade so it really depends on your goal. Do you want to trade up, go for it but if you want to trade down i wouldve personally kept the toxic.

As far as i'm aware, 2015 store pets are worth a '10 rare I think? But I don't really know the demand stuff... Should I have accepted or not?

That wasn't a really fair trade (demand wise), right now the deers have excellent demands. They could get you way more than that as lots of people are looking for the deers.
But ask for a second opinion.

I agree. I own the Store Deer and I get many offers with overpays. Rarity-wise it also wasn't fair. These store pets are worth a late '09 / early '10 dog, so you could get 2 old rares for them

I'm pretty sure that that's incorrect, '15 store pets are worth a mid '10 rare each, so it would have been fair rarity-wise.
To equal a late '09 / early '10 dog, the store pets would need to be about 1,5 years older.
