I actually injured my hand (got a lovely infection....) thus it was actually pretty hard to draw. It was extremely hard for me to hold a pen. I'm also not a really great drawer or at least in my opinion. I think I spent a bit more than a week and a half to come up with the idea, draw, and color my little kitty. Hopefully you'll like my kitty.

I only got one of the first outcome, so that's good. It's so cute. Can't wait to see the full grown version.

It didn't take me too long to come up with the little concept for my cat's design. I'd say it was a few hours of experimenting with the lines before I figured out what I wanted to do.
Actually doing it was harder because I've never done any serious digital drawing, so I was pretty much teaching myself GIMP the whole time. That and the fact that I designed my cat entirely with a macbook touchpad made progress pretty slow. cx



Absolutely love this kitty! The facial markings are especially adorable - I think they might be my favourite part of the design.

Yessss flamingos! I can totally get that. Especially if you look at the yellow face marking, it kind of looks like a beak, and then the yellow hind legs are the bird feet!

I have a question for any of the gh, have any of you picked out a name for your staff cat? I know the staff that do the staff litter of dogs usually come up with a name but I wasn't sure if it was too early to ask. Hope this makes sense. Just a simple yes or no will work.

My cat has a name, but I don't know if I want to reveal it before he is grown-up, since it is a very specific hint in itself.

I worked on my cat in shifts throughout the last month. It took me a day to get comfortable with the lineart, but after that, things actually went smoothly. I took lots of breaks as I tried to work out minor design things, but if you take out the breaks, maybe a week?

@Aquila I feel that- my digital art skills are literally all self-taught akzkwoxowo. It can be difficult but I'm sure that your hard work paid off ^.^

What do you mean the finishing result? The adult stage?
Normally yes, but this is still in a sense, a CS team member litter, so they had the freedom to edit their pets as they like- I imagine some of the adults will bear little resemblance to the second stage. It's all part of the fun!
