OKAY Concept here with some FLAG EXPLAINATIONS
So, some backstory. I had the idea for PRIDE Pride last year, but too late to actually make it! So I have been... working on these for a year. On and off, between stuff. Originally, I had a goal of somewhere around 50-55 flags. I ended up being restricted to a smaller batch XD Which is fair, leaves more room for later years. Each lion was researched as carefully as I could manage to be sure I had things that didn't cross into phobic territory or could be mistaken for bad flags that crop up and need to be avoided! Literal hours of research went into these and there's so much more I can learn XD
I made the mane edit on these guys to represent nonbinary genders! It's meant to be an in between of the male and female linearts, a good middle ground that fits a lot of the flags I was going to represent.

The Progress Pride Flag
It's my favorite all-around Pride flag design because of how inclusive it manages to be! Pretty basic, I wanted it to mirror the dog last year but also be capable of standing as it's own thing.

Gilbert Baker 9-Stripe Pride Flag
I thought the history behind these were very interesting and figured it would be a shame not to include the version of the flag where the stripes have such meanings! I wanted it to have the same artful look to it as most of the other rainbow pets I have made and I think I succeeded.

Questioning Flag
This flag is meant for those who haven't fully formed into their identity yet, so I made this into a cub lineart to represent that growth! The nose is meant to be the dot on the question mark haha.

Trans Flags
DEF wanted a pair of these simply from the nature of transgender! I had a lot of fun finding designs that would fit the colors because I wanted them both to be their own unique thing.

Nonbinary Flag
One of the first I made! Simple but so effective. I'm really proud of this one.

Pan Flag
These colors practically design themselves XD

Aro Spectrum Flag / Ace Spectrum Flag
I was limited in how many flags I could do this year but still wanted Ace and Aro included, especially since I'm on these spectrums myself! I actually had a method to the madness here too and decided to make the Aromantic spectrum the lioness, because of the misconception I see floating around sometimes that women are always more romantic, and the Ace lion is on the male lineart because of the equal misconception that men are always more physical. Pride is all about looking past gender roles and finding your true selves, after all, and I thought this was an important nod in that direction.

Agender Flag
Honestly I am so proud of this design XD I don't know what possessed me but it came together so well.

Androgyne Flag
One of the very first flags I made. Different enough from Agender and Nonbinary that I thought it could use its own lion, and especially fitting for the lineart!

Genderfluid Flag
This design also came together pretty much on it's own. I thought the idea of a design that looked a little like a thyclaine would be cool XD so I did it!

Xenogender Flag
This flag's design started out as my first pass at a Lesbian flag design but it just didn't have the vibe I was going for, then I realized the design was PERFECT for this flag. I'm so glad I changed it. Xenogender is a term I learned about last year, and I felt it was very important to include it.

Bi Flag
You really can't go wrong with the Bi Flag!

Genderqueer Flag
This one fought me on every level XD Green and purple did NOT want to play nice so I had to get white to separate them lest they destroy the whole lion. I think in the end it is a design I am most happy with though. Simple, but very effective.

Intersex Flag
Playing with circles! Concept edition! Jokes aside though I've been really glad to see intersex included more in recent years and wanted to continue that trend with a lion!

Lesbian / MLM flags
MLM was one of the first flags I did, and Lesbian one of the last. I think the MLM Lion is one of the best designs I made, the colors just go SO well together and I affectionately and fondly remember designing him. And Lesbian flag, I wanted something to really capture the power so I was SET on using the darker base coat color, which actually made me have to go through the most design iterations of any lion I've done XD But I think in the end the leopard look is what I wanted out of the design. I'm glad to have spent the extra time and care on her.
These are all of my flag designs! So far!!! XDD Thank you all for everything! Pride is very important to many of us and I'm glad and honored to be a part of it.
