I love story telling and writing, so being able to create something and then give it a backstory and a name is so much fun to me. Honestly, I just took the vibes I got while I was making her and spun a cool story around her. I'll share where she came from more when she's grown and y'all have guessed her though!

So, here is versions 2.0 of guessing Lacuna’s pup by me

Tonight after this pup grew I thought maybe this one is Lacuna’s pup.



This kitty has some similarities to Lacuna’s 2022 pup



These include:
* the headband and the crown and hair
* the prominent design on the pup, but without being all over the body
* the tag is not edited

And as they pertain to the hints
* this pup uses all the colors - some are barely used but they are there
* She’ a 90’s kids - the hair has a mullet-like cut but also wearing tiaras/crowns were fun fashion accessories in the 90s
* has line edits and the heart design on the body is something she can grow into. The hearts also can relate to an anniversary
* It has a gradient look as well as freckles
* the eyes are a very pretty color so they are “certainly something”
* the nose is 2 toned and uses the contrasting colors so well, so it is also “certainly something”
* Apple - she may be the “apple” of someone’s eyes

The ears are not sown, which is not Lacuna’s normal style but that could also be because they didn’t work with the crown and hair. And the hair is also not usual, but she may be changing up her style a bit for this special pup.

So there you go! I figured if I keep guessing I’m bound to get something right!

1) Fairly clean and simple. I kept their markings fairly downplayed so they wouldn't dominate the design. One think I can say is they're extra "me" flavored, if that makes sense. (Now comes with 3 times the Saik)

2) Not really. I suppose I've been playing a lot of this one game so that might have influenced me

3) 10/10. You always pin me down immediately if I'm not trying to trick you. In the end it'll be more about what they're going to grow into than who they are

No theories, brain too occupied by loving this pup. My favorite pet I've adopted so far (Though I only joined in June, so it's only been a few months).

I just... absolutely adore this one. I can't even explain why. I just want to love and cherish them and watch them be happy. I told myself I'd sort my pets strictly by species and event, and then within two minutes of seeing this little one created a group just for them, and future pets I love as much as them.

Whoever made this pup, thank you for giving me something I didn't know I needed; I'm excited to see who they grow up to be, who made them, and learn more about them; and congratulations on inducing my first CS pet hyperfixation, haha.

Long shot but I think the pup with the fishy friend might just be codex's.
Answering for the pup's aesthetic, Codex responded with, "Based on my previous answers it’s definitely something related to the sea".
The only other pup that I've really noticed that based around the sea would be the one dogtreat already claimed. Just a hunch...
Also, just a hunch, the pup with three "claw" marks down its back make me think it might be Saikiyo's. I went looking at previous pups of theirs and I noticed that not a lot of detail work goes into the pup itself (most of the "wow" factor is in the adult form) but they said this in responce to the pup's aesthetic is, "Fairly clean and simple. I'm thinking this is Desmond's dog! Here are my reasons. Most are taken from the hint chart.

1. Does not include props or human clothing.
This pup does not have props or human clothing

2. Might include scales; possibly an aquatic pup, "Possibly?? Idk"
This pup has a pattern that looks like scales, and it's begging to turn into some other kind of creature.

3. Includes every color on the palette, some more prominately than others, "I used the entire palette, some colors more than others but they're all there all the same.
Look closely, this pup does include most, if not all, the colors. There's yellow, red, pink, and what's supposed to be a little bit of green in the spots (???) The other colors may appear later.

4.And man I don't like working with pink, still"
This dog *does* have pink, but only a little bit. Saying that this hint leads exclusively to "no pink" may be an exaggeration, as only by using pink can people know they don't like working with pink in the design. At least that is what happens to me.

5.Has a pink nose
They do.

6.Pointing to the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant disaster
From the disaster, a fire broke out, and the colors do resemble... fire... or maybe the patterns are a sea creature, which the dog is based off of. From the years before, the staff pets that resemble animals don't necessarily have their natural colorings (e.g. last year's snek).

7. Goodrage's last braincell
Last year's pup in the first stage also had a little bit of some kind of pattern and little to no line edits. Who knows?

I was also definitely getting fish vibes from this lil guy too, trying to figure out which dang species has that pattern has sent me down a rabbit hole though. turns out yellow/brownish striped fish are common enough it's hard to find which one I'm picturing so clearly in my head in a search. not quite butterflyfish, though that's the closest I've gotten to finding a match. I *swear* I've seen a fish with those dots on the stripes before, it's driving me crazy!

(now watch this be 100% not-even-remotely-based-on-a-fish when it grows up, rip :p)
