im sorry but i dont really agree with all the questions and hints being revealed/talked about on discord. we have a discussion thread here for a reason, and a lot of people may not have discord or want to use it. its just a bit frustrating(?) when i want to help work on this and figure it out but plenty of points never make their way here. im not trying to cause an issue, but id appreciate it if more was being done or kept up to date here, by both staff and users alike /nm

Interestingly, of the three clues I have out there, the only one solved so far was solved on the thread. I am far more likely to mislead and toy around when I am in chat mode.

btw though, did you specify that this year's pup has no species familial relationship with Dorje because lore-wise they are related? Was this year's creature made by Dorje's creator?

A negative opinion of honey badgers...I'd ask if you have any idea how little that narrows it down, but I'm certain you're well aware.

I'm right there with you, kiro. I don't bounce back and forth to use both platforms because my mental health really starts to decline as summer wanes, so I have very little energy and have to spend it wisely. I don't like discord much at all, so the less draining option is CS. Unfortunately, I work best when I can bounce ideas off other people and work off of their thought processes, so with those conversations largely removed from CS, I'm not as effective as I might otherwise be. It does get frustrating to have no way of knowing if I'm just rehashing someone else's thought process that was already shut down on the other platform.

Since the discord thing obviously isn't going anywhere, though, my advice is to use this as an opportunity to get comfortable with being excluded for your preferences and limitations. Those who don't share those preferences and limitations are already comfortable with excluding you.

(But also, though, thank you Hades for sharing info across platforms. It's super nice of you.)

I’m about 75% certain that this pup is Desmond’s, but my reasoning is mostly based on art style as opposed to any clues. (Although a small part of me says that the “dingo” pup is based on a brown hyena and Desmond’s. Why I have very few ideas, but will note that Desmond rarely edits much except the ears/tail on official lines for non-staff litter adopts and has edited ears on staff pups before - most recently on Dorje.)

I disagree with this guess because of the colored tag. I don't see a single Desmond pet in the archives with a colored tag, so unless he's really messing with us this year, then based on your criteria it's more likely to be one of these:

They do share a lot of things, including the most basic roots/principles.
But I largely specified species because I risk misspelling Mustelidae when I say my outcome does not belong to that family.
