Hi. Uh... Don't mind me. Just... Just gonna throw my notes out here and see if anyone else can do something with them. Sorry there isn't much name-dropping. I forgot to take notes that accurate >.<

here's the thing: I didn't notice much. Ashki denies the kitten with the dot on its paw is theirs, and someone else mentioned the Munchkin kitten, "resembles the one Ashki did last year with it’s darker base color, nose and eyes standing out and the placement of the highlights." That's all I got. Did I miss something?

This is a lot. Okay.
Towards the beginning of the thread, Bun said, "Who said my clues are fake? Maybe they just haven't been completed yet" and added an eye icon. At one point, Bun mentioned, "Ominous, doesn't bode well for my hints either :'3" when it was discovered that the search function was a bit wonky, making me think we should probably be using that function a bit for this cat. There was also that thing with Dama and the whole, "woooooonder if anyone will figure out when Dama started haunting me." That date is apparently January 1st of this year, and someone found a link to a post about Dama's Santa. Not sure what this has to do with anything, but there's also the absurd number of eye-cons Bun and the other staff keep using in here. Someone thought it would turn out like that one cat with all the shadow things creeping up behind it.

There's all sorts of French things going on, though. In Bun's signature, in French, it reads, "We will rebuild." Bun's profile also mentions that they speak both English and French. This comes into play when Bun posted, "My kitty is named after a city the homeland of my second tongue, staring down the home of my "premier"." Premier in quotes gives the impression that it's a French word, so lots of people jumped on that. The first conclusion was that Bun was talking about the French Prime Minister, and since he sits in Paris, the cat is named after either Paris or a city that's staring it down. Or maybe they were talking about the city staring down the home of the Prime Minister. Either way, after Bun confirmed France and denied Paris, another user found out that the current Prime Minister is from a place called Rouen. In response, Bun said their cat's, "not related to France’s politics. Try a simpler definition of premier." Another user figured that meant "premier" was supposed to be meant like "first" and figured, "Her cat is named after her first home in France. We just need to figure out what her first home was located!" Personally, I'm not sure this one's the right definition, either. CS keeps telling us not to hand out personal information, so having a clue that would require us to go digging into personal backgrounds like that seems a little out of place. Other definitions for "premier" include First, Initial, Prime, Top, Early, Chief, and Ultimate. So, the city we're looking for is staring down the home of Bun's... one of them. Premier.

Talking more directly about the cat itself, the interview section mentioned, ""Cold colors would match my fur better but I still prefer warm ones. Reminds me of my home; it rarely snows there." The kitten also mentioned in response to a question on how others view them, "They think I’m very cute but I’d prefer a more threatening image." My immediate thought is a design based off of a large cat from a hot climate, and then Bun mentioned, "It gets a bit hot where he's from," in response to a bunch of chatter about ice cream cakes. This seems to align with the Hot Place idea, but then there was, "He can also hide pretty well, he isn't noticed all too often on a normal basis [...] he is resilient enough to go through most types of weather. [...] the wind can be so cold, even under a summer sun," a series of answers to another question session. This makes me think maybe mountain-ish? Someplace that can get really windy, can get hot, doesn't snow, and has a cold wind in the winter

As for which kitten we've currently got that might match Bun's descriptions, Space Boi's got a vote. A user mentioned that the helmet might match up with the eye-con at the start, and how the "missing" eye was really hidden, possibly behind a mask. Not sure I agree with this theory because of the direct descriptions of the cat

First up! Somewhere on their profile is this ">~,""";~~" which... might be a fish? I'm not sure if it's even important, so there's that. At the start of the thread, Celo mentioned they were a perfectionist, and that this month's design was the most challenging one they've done yet. That means that of these designs, this month's is more ambitious:



Still talking directly about the design, a user noticed, "celozone used "tldr: go nuts" twice on posts that were not really long enough for it." They hypothesized that this meant the design had something to do with nuts. During the interview stage of the thread, Bun mentioned that their cat "especially admires Celozon's kitty." Not sure if that's really relevant, but it might be. Also during that time period, Celo's cat said, "I am a sugar fiend :3 ... But being high is scary" and though it could just be kitten mindset talking, I immediately got the impression that it was a small cat afraid of heights, so possibly the Munchkin kitten we've already seen. Someone else suggested that the design might be pixelated, and considering the previous designs available, I don't think that's too far off.

Actually its a bit deeper that that, it originally comes from the colorq of our usernames, the particular shade of pink that it is, is sometimes referred to a 'salmon', as GHs we tend to often refer to ourselves as 'salmon' because of this, and ended up giving ourselves the nickname 'Salmon Squad' based off of that. page 8, 7th post

The only thing I can say is that there is a commonality to the mysterious appearance of these Qs which has been missed, which may answer some of your questions, or rather, show they do not require answers. and I will take that ice cream cake. Without copy-pasting every single message into a word document and looking for size .1 font, this is what I have. Celo specifically says, "There is a pattern to the Qs, figure out that before worrying too much about what they mean. It would answer a lot of your questions." So I hope this helps a bit. Raire mentions that we, "missed the very beginning of the clues." That might have something to do with the first post, or it might have something to do with the starts of words or sentences or messages containing Q's. Ruff also mentions, "You won't work out the previous hint without finding the first. And you guys are usually so good with hidden clues..." which leads me to think there's some .01 font I missed somewhere. Also, the whole "The Qs do indeed mean something, though I think you all need to take a second look through my posts on this thread ^^" seems to have blown this all bigger than "a small hint" but here we are.

Now, as for theories on what the Q's could be doing, there are a lot of them. The first one, one that's been disproved, was that, because there were only three Q's at that point, the cat would be the third growth. There's now more than three Q's, so I don't think this stands. Similarly, someone suggested that because Q is the 17th letter, the growth would happen on the 17th, but I don't think this is true, either, mainly because that would eliminate the need for Celo to tell us to figure out the pattern. Another user mentioned that because the Q's are at the beginnings and ends of words, Celo's kitten would be the first and last to grow, though I disagree for the aforementioned reason and the face that there are some Q's in the middle of words as well. One user suggested that, since a couple of the Q's replaced G's, Celo's cat would be missing some of the typical curves in the lineart. Another user mentioned that it could be the placement of the Q's that has the impact, that you have to move to the left or right a certain number of characters before you get what you're supposed to use. Regarding Raine's "very beginning of the clue" idea, Aliria mentioned trying the first letters and found nothing, then mentions, "I tried listing the first letter of each sentence in all of their posts on this thread, and mostly got nothing, but their very first post (x) starts by spelling out "IOTA." I would not be surprised if that's a coincidence though." I'll try to list out some letter association/replacement patterns.

Someone already claimed a cats as Celo's, from what I saw. They figured the Q's were just to highlight words and managed to put together "qcutie, Answerqs, colorq, settinq, qot, maqbe jusqt likq >> Answerqs = answerIs!! >> Answer is maybe (my) cutie (has) got setting colors just like (insert q here)!" meaning Celo's is the Sunset kitten. Now we have a bunch more words, though, so I don't know if it still holds up.

Changing gears, once we've figured out the Q's, I think we'll know what to do with this mess: ⇧ 🅰 🅱 ⇨ ⇩ 🅱 ⇦ ⇦ ⇩ 🅱 🅰 ⇧ 🅱 ⇨ ⇨ ⇦ 🅱 People have been going through Celo's hoards looking for these symbols, and they've found a number of rats and such linking Sunset and Dot cats to Celo.

Recently, ZEL also made a new code appear: 175886742 which could possibly be post positions as I've noted above, which means once we figure out what the Q's are doing, we might have the key to unscramble whatever code comes out. They do, however, lead to a pet named "Lumi's sister thinks I'm a snack D:" and it's one of those cute chocolate-mint ice cream octopi. Lumi's ZEL's pet, so I'm not sure what kind of cross-clue we're getting, but there it is.

Remember that awkward silence when the teacher called on you and you hadn't understood a single thing they're said for the past hour? Yeah, insert that here.

First up: Talking about what K's said about things that may or may not pertain to their cat. One of their first posts on this thread mentioned, "how spacey I am right now lol." Personally, I thought of our Space Boi, because "spacey" and it could be a bit of a stretch, but there it is. K also mentioned that they, "don't have a clue when it'll be their time" so it could have already grown!

Now, onto the obvious hints! In transparent text, K writes, "1st level evocation" and "Casting Time: 1 action" as some obvious hints. Now, someone immediately linked this to Magic, and I'm not sure if they meant Magic the Gathering or just Magic-As-In-Magical-Things Magic. Another user mentioned some impressive research into D&D. After both of these, K said, "It looks like someone is taking my hint in the right direction, what do yov think it could mean?" Since we're currently dealing with the Q's, one user noticed the typo immediately and said, "V could be the letter in Thunderwave. Or it could be the number 5. Which assuming the spells are in order on the site, it would be Earth Tremor. 5 could also represent hands since 5 fingers. But then it is either Cure Wounds or Burning Hands." I have no clue what most of this gibberish means, but it's there for you to have it.

From what I understand, Space Boi has been pegged as possibly K's, "as we think it has something to do with one of those moves 22tabby listed."

Starting off with a stroll around this profile, Lucky likes wild cats and wolves, so there may be some influence in design there. Their signature also contains a few "X's don't work" statements, though Lucky's said that's just for coding. Celo said the Q's were just a typo at first, though, so I'm not sure how solid I feel this is. Not sure what it could mean, but there's that doubt now wandering through your head.

Now, I'll get some random observations out there. At one point, Lucky says, "I may eventually answer a question on thread..." in invisible text. Did they ever answer that question? It was in the middle of all the kitty interviews. Lucky also mentions offering treats to the sleeping kits to get one to grow, which leads to the revelation that, "my kitty does enjoy bananas, but there is one fruit that beats them all." I feel like figuring out that one fruit might help, but it might just be a wild goose chase.

Finally, we'll address Lucky's obsession with colors. First, it was just, "I like colors" which is innocent enough, but it quickly turned into, "Did you know you can do really neat things with colors?" And then, we got this very helpful hint: "At least one color used..." One user thought it meant Munchkin cat was Lucky's, but that one had only one color, and "at least one" means "one or more" which, yeah, I guess every cat has to be one or more colors, so... Not sure how much this hint helped, but we might get a new installment at some point.

A thing I do want to mention, though, is that after one of the Oekaki mods mentioned the Dots on one of the cats, Lucky posted, "*quietly looks at Zel* hmmmmmmmmmmmm...." which, I mean, could be a re herring, but it's there. There's also a running joke about Lucky's cat being nonexistent/ghostly.

Alright! Here's another one without much information! Orchid outright said that their cat doesn't have eyes that are the same color as their nose, so keep an eye out for that one. Someone mentioned that the Munchkin could be Orchid's, "because 4 of orchid’s 7 staff/gh pets have purple eyes at the growing stage and she does little to no line editing" but, well, Munchkin's got purple eyes and a purple nose, which goes straight against what Orchid said, so I doubt the conclusion.

This one's got a lot of research and stuff, and lemme just say right here and now, I am thoroughly impressed by the lengths this GH went to in order to give us a cool thing to look at. Anyway, from what I understand, there was some kind of hidden code having something to do with "lherzolite 7" that lead to an imager link. The image was a black canvass, but when ported into photoshop, you could use a magic wand and figure out that there are white marks on one layer that spelled out the words "SAMUEL F B -FRIENDS, FAMILY, TEAMMATES" which corresponded to a bunch of users in the three categories that had invisible clues in their signatures with stuff like (#) MORSE CODE THING and since good ol' Sam is the man who made Morse Code or something along those lines, we knew to turn the hints into morse code translators. That translated code turned into a youtube link to a video of black that flashed two screens. One had RR's name on it, the other had the number 86 on it, which Aliria tracked down to a specific hoard titled "✪00086✔ shorty squad, out." and claimed it was in reference to Munchkin. Ruff has denied that Munchkin is theirs, but the process is still in pages 43 and 44.

Someone else mentioned that the cat with the dots looked like a RR, though I personally think it looks like more colors and less hard details than any of their precious designs. However, one of the other GH's said, "Are you sure that isn't a rockruff? *squints* looks like one to me," after RR denied it looked like theirs. Again, this is possibly a false trail. Random guess, though: We've got that one cat with the dots, and morse code is made up of dots and dashes, right?

All I really have is stuff from their profile. Wobb's got a link to Rick Astley, they have 4 dogs and 2 horse, they're interested in computers and space and astrophysics, and they've got "SALMON TIME!" 61 times in their signature. I have no idea if any of that might help. I do know the mention of an interest in space has me contemplating Space Boi and his helmet, and we also have out new science kitten, which they said, "same tbh! I wonder what's in there...." when someone commented about the little tube.

ZEL's profile didn't reveal overly much when me, a novice, looked through it for clues. They have connections to Germany, books, pokemon, birds, death metal, and also a link to a tumblr account. On that tumblr account is a post, "hey can you like/reblog this post if you are a chicken smoothie blog or reblog a lot of content relating to chicken smoothie? i need more of it on my dash ^^" from about 1 week ago. Everything else is over a month old. Other than that, under what I think is the tumblr profile section, ZEL's got "Here there be pixel pets. (Chicken Smoothie blog of ZEL / #783)" which could probably just be nothing and their favorite pokemon number, but their tab is titled "Z.0" in my window, which could also be nothing.

What isn't nothing, though, is ZEL's statement, "My cat's name is Lumi. She's named after my boyfriend's OC, [...] my cat looks like she could be Lumi's fursona" My instant thought was that if we found ZEL's boyfriend and sifted through the poor guy's public art, we might find something to compare to our pets over here, but then I remembered CS's privacy rules, and I'm fairly certain that's not the way we're supposed to go about figuring this out. Leave the poor guy alone. ZEL even gives us a track to walk: "I'm sure if you can find out what she likes to eat, then you'll be able to figure out what she is, without me having to narrow it down to any categories (or excluding any, for that matter)"

So, what I've got on ZEL's kitty eating habits are: sweet things, not mice, catnip maybe, ice cream in small amounts, strawberries toy, chicken no, salmon no, pasta no, oat no, trout no, eggs no, cucumber no, cantaloupe toy, cheese no. Also, the comment, "A diet based solely on ice cream might lead to a pudgy kitty!" left me thinking we should be looking for a tubby cat.

Let us not forget, though, that ZEL drew Lumi when answering questions and Lumi's got shaggy cheeks and extra fur, so maybe we should be on the lookout for something more fluffy.

Again, I will mention Lucky's "*quietly looks at Zel* hmmmmmmmmmmmm...." moment for posterity, as well as the Sunset kit being pegged for Lumi and one of the Green-Names posting "That is Zel's. Calling it now.

Changing gears, once we've figured out the Q's, I think we'll know what to do with this mess: ⇧ 🅰 🅱 ⇨ ⇩ 🅱 ⇦ ⇦ ⇩ 🅱 🅰 ⇧ 🅱 ⇨ ⇨ ⇦ 🅱 People have been going through Celo's hoards looking for these symbols, and they've found a number of rats and such linking Sunset and Dot cats to Celo.

Recently, ZEL also made a new code appear: 175886742 which could possibly be post positions as I've noted above, which means once we figure out what the Q's are doing, we might have the key to unscramble whatever code comes out. They do, however, lead to a pet named "Lumi's sister thinks I'm a snack D:" and it's one of those cute chocolate-mint ice cream octopi. Lumi's ZEL's pet, so I'm not sure what kind of cross-clue we're getting, but there it is.

Very interesting observations! I'm not wiling to say too much yet, but I will give a little help:

• The newest clue is not related to the Q hints, they're separate.
• The Q hint/s are supposed to be super easy you all just overthink it a lot tbh, I've tried my best but at this point I've done everything short of giving the answer.
• My interests isn't important (its a lizard actually) I used it for last year's hints and I liked it so I left it up.

If the q's are simplistic, then we know a few things.

Either the q's add a space to a sentence or they replace a part of a sentence. Going by this, I am theorizing that it is morse code. The long ones are the spaces and the ones replacing the letters are short. Morse code has been used by more than one staffer I think. So its not a stretch Celozon is using it here.

What isn't nothing, though, is ZEL's statement, "My cat's name is Lumi. She's named after my boyfriend's OC, [...] my cat looks like she could be Lumi's fursona" My instant thought was that if we found ZEL's boyfriend and sifted through the poor guy's public art, we might find something to compare to our pets over here, but then I remembered CS's privacy rules, and I'm fairly certain that's not the way we're supposed to go about figuring this out. Leave the poor guy alone.

First of all that's an impressively long post, you are really putting in work there!
But I just had to comment on this bit because I have to admit it made me chuckle. My boyfriend considers himself hardly capable of drawing a stick figure, I'm afraid if you found any of his online profiles you'd be sorely disappointed :'D There exists art of Lumi, but none of it was drawn by him.
As I've said in the name reveal post, there is no further connection between cat Lumi and human Lumi besides my silly joke about fursonas.
That said, if you're really curious, here she is as drawn by two of my friends and a boredom-motivated sprite edit I made a while ago.
The sprite uses her default outfit, so yeah it's really just colour palette resemblances :'D (Though I do also think that Lumi would like what my cat is based on. Not that it's much of a clue. She is a pokemon animal person pffft.)
