New Year Poll - Community Input Needed!

Please read before voting!

As many of you know, we have an annual tradition of releasing New Year Dogs. Traditionally a PPS dog of the new year is released along with an adult dog all grown up from the previous year to symbolize the year coming to an end. The design of the dogs will always feature the year displayed and a gradient of color. At this point we have cycled though the entire rainbow.

We feel like this is a great way to involve the community as we aren't sure how to continue our tradition this year. We would like to either continue using the dog lines OR change the species. If you vote for changing the species, comment below what you would like the new species to be!

This poll will run till the end of November.

bats, bunnies, lions, zebra, or unicorns would be my picks! those species are not commonly seen as monthly pets so would be fun to have more in the archives

id love to see them on lion lines! i think itd be so cool to have a popular species have the new tradition as it may bring more people into participating! if not lions tho, id love to see the new snake lines get used!

Lion sounds like a good idea to me! Or if we want something more exotic, maybe chickens? They are in the name of the website after all!

oooh or dragons, especially eastern dragons... plenty of room for designs 👀

I feel like it would be awesome to eventually get a rainbow of every species! That way instead of it feeling rinse and repeat we get something new!

Or, we could continue with dog but with maybe a litter representing some artists New Years resolution? If anyone has a comment or two I would love to hear

personally, i think doing a different species every year could work, like how the santa's reindeer set is a different species each year. maybe you could have a community poll for the year's species, too, since that would be another good way to get community input and interaction?

if we can really only have one, though, may i suggest cats? rats or b-wolves could work too, i just think it should be one of the species that were available when the site first opened in 2008 lol

whatever the results end up being, i'm very much looking forward to seeing 2023's new year's pet and seeing 2022's dog all grown up :)
