Trade rules: Your opinion

My thoughts on trade rules are quite straightforward.
I think that they should be simple and straight to the point.
Stories and codewords and such make them so much more overly complicated.
I think that things like that can go in your trade thread or something.
I just know I like short and straightforward rules when i trade.
Makes it easier for me.

Sigh I dont know why people insist on yelling in their rules...

its either that or they are rude in the rules and tell everone about all of their problems because they are angry

yeah I saw that I think it just makes people want to trade someone else I mean not everyone is unfair and some people really dont know rarity thats the truth of it

I hate those kind of rules it makes me shiver and think they would most likely foe me anyway XD

are you serious?? there are a lot of things that really sets me off here. so many things..

I don't think trade rules are necessary, but I think they make cooperation much easier.

I love seeing people with short and simple rules, as they're easy to follow. How ever, there are a few things that might make me rethink whether I'm going to trade with you.

A lot of users seem to enjoy having overly bright colors, or more than five colors mixing in their trade rules randomly. I have migranes, and among other things, bright lights and bright colors can sometimes set them off. If you happen to have a lot of bright colors changing in your trade rules, I'm not going to read your trade rules. To stay polite, I wont complete any trades with you either, as it just wouldn't be right when I'm not reading your trade rules. I expect you to read mine if we trade, so I wont trade with you if I can't read yours.

Characters/stories in the trade rules are a constant annoyance.
I know you're really happy about how you dressed up your pet, and I understand you're proud of your writing skills. How ever, I do not wish to go through 6 paragraphs of your pet's ramblings just to find out all you've been trying to say is "Don't send me spiders, they scare me."

Code words make me nope away from trades easily, particularly if you have more than one. If I'm following your rules and offering a fair trade, why should I need to jump through hoops just for you to complete the trade?

I agree. I think codewords are pointless, and I don't like incredibly long trade rules that end up being stories. It's cute... I just don't have the time to read it all. I want to get to the point.

I don't trade a lot but I always skim through the trade rules before I do. If they seem overly demanding, rude or have codewords I shrug and move on to someone else. It's not worth the aggravation... this is supposed to be a fun site to pass the time and I like to keep it that way.

One pet peeve that I have is when people say 'Please don't trade me chickens, rats, spiders, cats, horses, or butterfly wolves. They're all stupid, all I want is WL foxes and dogs.
Likewise, when people say
GIMME ALL YOUR FOXES I HOARD THEM PLZ PLZ PLZ TRADE ME THEM

For the first example... I understand why people do that, so please don't get after me. It's a pet peeve. It just annoys me when people only want ONE pet out of all of the lovely species >.< It doesn't mean I won't trade with them, but when they have a miniscule wishlist or it's just the popular pets... no thanks.
For the second one, I totally support hoarding, but when people BEG for them or say 'give yours to me!' it's just so annoying. I'm an occasional hoarder myself, but I (as many others do) just say 'These are my hoards, please consider trading them to me. I may overpay.' or 'Here's a link to my trade thread if you want to see my current hoards/dreamies.'

see what I mean? I dont know why people express their anger in their rules towards their traders, they didnt even do anything I dont know why people use codewords to express anger
