What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

There are so many good ideas on this thread!

I'm definitely going to echo some of the ideas mentioned here to put my votes in for those!;


• The camping idea sounds lovely! I wouldn't mind it evolving into a scary story/cryptid/light horror concept as the event goes on as well! Who doesn't love telling scary stories around the campfire? I also liked some of the ideas where it could be a summer camp type thing with "teams" to show your support for and activities based around basic survival/wilderness exploration.
  
  
• I love all kinds of mythology, so anything containing that would be incredible! Having God of War fresh in my mind, Norse mythology would be really cool to see! Greek Mythology could be awesome as well!
  
  
• I have a love for all things scary/spooky/odd. Any theme along those lines (perhaps a Lovecraftian inspiration?) would be welcome any time! Though, this idea might be a little too similar to Halloween.
  
  
• A "Night at the Museum" theme! Avian, Totoro and co. visit a museum. At first, everything is wonderful, but as the event goes on and night falls, the various exhibits begin to come alive...
  
  
• A painting/art event! Maybe it's structured like an art class? We could have tons of cool and creative pets/items, and a super colorful theme!
  
  
• Garden/botany theme! I will never not be happy for an excuse to collect more plant pets and items :lol:
  
  
• A surrealist event! We could stumble upon a weird, distorted reality where everything is just a little off at first, and then it becomes weirder and weirder (like half and half species/item hybrids, maybe even mixing two linearts, pets and items with weird floating bits and whacky anatomy? Blurred out faces etc..?)
  
  
• Lastly, I love the ideas floating around a detective/mystery theme! I can see a lot of potential for community shenanigans and interactions with that!

i saw a few posts mentioning cryptid hunting and camping/hiking separately but hear me out;
summer camping with a healthy splash of encountering cryptids/urban legends in the (haunted/cryptid infested) forest

I think a witchcraft-like theme would be really cool! Like Harry Potter kind of inspiration with magical creatures, spells and potions, and witch attire! The tokens could be different colored potions or spell books which would be really cool!

I also think a music festival would be a cool theme too! Have animals represent different instruments and have cool outfits like people would wear at a music festival! Tokens could be music notes

I think a cool event would be really tiny in a garden and seeing all the bugs and flowers/other hijinks that come with being tiny

How about a jumanji type thing where board games cross into the real world? There could be different themed areas for different games!
There are tons of possibilities!
Monopoly-city area
Chessboard-Victorian area with fancy folk
Snakes and Ladders-self explanatory
Battleship-steampunk/boat area
Twister-not a board game but would make a great dance floor
Ticket to Ride-train station is the hub that connects all the other areas

and of course...
Clue-A mysterious mansion that hides who/what the cause of the games coming to life is

Adding onto this:
Guess Who-a place where characters from older events stop by and say hi
Mouse Trap-construction area that looks like a McDonald’s play place (no actual traps...probably)

I love love love this. I think with cryptids, it'll be important to be sensitive since a lot of cryptids come from different cultures and religions and are often very disrespectfully portrayed buuuut more mothman pets? Sign me up! Fishing hats and camping tents? Perfection. You're a genius.
