But yeah, no one but my auntie calls me by my Chinese name, instead they call me 沙沙 (it's my nickname because my Grandma couldn't speak English and she thought my English name 'Elizabeth' was too long and the Chinese for Elizabeth has a character that sounds and looks a lot like 沙 xD). I am half Chinese and half English and I can speak Cantonese fluently but sadly I moved to Australia before grade 1 so my writing and reading skills aren't quite up to par, and my writing grammar is pretty bad too but we won't go into that, lol.
I haven't read through most of this thread but it seems everyone speaks Mandarin here /feels left out.
