yea FranceIt is right sayng "Jap" can be taken in the wrong way and many people will be lead to thinking that you are racist or discriminatory......so yea (please pm me im super lonely)

I'm a beginner, too. I have a couple penpals that have been helping me out, but it's so confusing. I think I can get the pronunciation down mostly, but the grammar is just hard for me. I'm not going to even say anything about the writing because that is more confusing than math, and for me, that's big xD
Is there anywhere you can learn Japanese online? I mean, I've found a couple sites [Livemocha.com being the best], but it doesn't go especially far and I think I need more help than that [plus they want you to post things {voice recordings, passages} so you can improve, and I'm just not ready].
If anyone wants to help me out, that would be nice, too

I'm trying to learn Japanese online myself. I already knew a bit of the language and have decided to learn it. It's really neat.

Lol awesome! And Britannia Angel, I just watch vids in japanese and vids explaining stuff like how to say something or counting or colors etc on youtube. Just type in learn japanese and you'll find many useful vids. I'm currently trying to find some good japamese music to listen to. XD

Went to wikipedia and jotted down some groups and bands. Listened to Dream/DRM and they're amazing! Hadn't listened to the others yet. XD
