Pfft, I prefer when it's winter here. But If you go south enough it can actually get quite cold! I love going Douth! <3

Well, I don't live too far north, more in the south east part of Queensland, but we do get lorikeets, cockatiels, galahs, cockatoos, though, just the white ones, plover, hate them, minors and a lot more!

Ooooh, pretty much same here except for the Plovers. I've read a bit on them though, aren't they really agressive?

Yep, but it doesn't help when the kids at school like to make them even more angry , though, as long as you don't get too close, there's no reason to worry.

damn, a group of crows just came to live at the park next door and they are so noisey. I used to complain that the rainbow lorikeets were to loud, now when the crows come over, and their gone, even the dead would wake from their graves. Seriously? cawwing at 4 in the morning? not cool guys.
anyways, the group of noisy minors are trying to protect their territory and are chasing some away. Even though they steal my dog's food and poop too much in my backyard, i gotta love them.
@ wolfeygrrl, yeah i hate plovers too, although we dont normally get them here. They are way too noisy too, i use to think that they were kookaburras when i was little.

I looove Kookies!! And, 4 in the morning, try all night XD Plovers basically never sleep, and when they decide to make their nest on your roof, they're not very good at landing and make lound bangs when landing -.-

wow, i just realised that the birds that i heard in the middle of the night were plovers. Although there hasnt been a bird up on my roof for a long time ( the last time was bout 6 yrs ago and the pigeon died up there for a few months before being discovered) there are rats/ possums? they make so much noise, chewing through the timbre.

Haha, we had a wagtail make its nest on our verandah. The baby was sooo cute!
