싶다 and 원하다 both mean "want", but the former seems to be used when you want to exclusively say "want to do ~~~" phrases? I'm sorry if I'm not correct haha ^^' I'm not the best person when it comes to explanations, plus my understanding of Korean doesn't go down to its grammar roots xnx

싶다 is a form of ending combine with a verb.
싶다 cannot be used alone.
It can be used such as 놀고싶다 (놀다+싶다), 먹고싶다 (먹다+싶다), 하고싶다 (하다+싶다)
원하다 is a verb and it needs an object(noun) as ~을/를 원해요.
And it means more serious like "hope", "wish", or "desire".
