I couldn't help but notice your conversation on typing in hiragana/kanji/etc, and I wanted to add that on iPhones, you can add the keyboard under the general settings section. I can only type in romaji while on my computer, unfortunately, as my laptop doesn't take kindly to me tryin to edit the settings on it. (it's uber picky over what it lets me do)
