What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

I honestly absolutely adore a lot of the suggestions already here
I especially love all the steampunk ones, but the cryptid hunt is a close second!

An apocalyptic vibe could be cool too? Perhaps even steampunk apocalyptic?

A farmyard theme? Like with sheep and little piglets and cows and stuff (I know these pets already exist but still) or under the sea (but might be too similar to the lost city event). Also some of these might have already been done/be too similar, but I'll just throw them out there anyways: library/literary theme, picnic, cottage core (maybe too similar to fae mischief), festival of colour theme, day of the dead theme, harvest theme. Probably some repetition but my memory is shocking lol

Maybe something about El Dorado, "The city of gold". There could be pets made of gold and treasures, and pets who are discoverers.

I would love a movie theater themed one if that would even work. I'd love to see a bunch of pets based off of popular movies or just simple things like movie snacks.. The places to go would just be like, "Theater A1" or "Theater B3" and you would find popcorn and candy pieces as tokens.

I really hope the next summer event doesn't have ANYTHING to do with camping...

Guys, this is getting to be rude. Maybe try making suggestions of what you want to see rather than beating down the things you don't want? There's always next year, and not everyone is going to like whatever theme is chosen anyways. That's the way things are; it's widely mixed community. But it feels like the camping suggestion is getting bullied without reason, (not including those who have pointed out the pitfalls of a cryptid theme, that's logical concern). Maybe just let the staff decide what to pick?
I'm not trying to single anybody out, (so I apologize to you for the quote, Stormiifloofz227). I just want to address the unkind behavior. We can be better than this.

Moving on, most of the suggestions here are actually really good, and I'd like to see a lot of these, namely the farm, museum, and the zoo. The movie theater and sky themes sound interesting too!

Oh my goodness, some of the suggestions already posted are so neat!!

I would love something along the lines of Totoro hunting for the fountain of youth (fedora and everything!) and Avian has been unwillingly dragged along! Somehow all of the pets have been turned into babies (oh nuu! So many pps <3 !). While trying to locate Totoro and Avian, we encounter lots of cs folk that are well ventured and are unsure of the situation that Totoro has caused.

Think Indiana Jones meets Alice in Wonderland!

Lots of potions are made out of found objects (tokens and banners objects) to try and revert the affects of the fountain of youth. The scientists are trying to create something science-y to help. The hippies are out gathering flowers. Someone has raised an army to fight ...er? Something? lol

The nursery is getting fuller by the day! What has our beloved Totoro done this time? :0 *gasp!
How will our heroes manage this?

Guys, this is getting to be rude.

The problem with camping suggestion, as I have previously pointed out, is that its already been an event, however it keeps getting suggested again and again and again. I get it, mostly newer people are posting/actively interested in participating, and there is less older players than there are newer players. They cant know we've already had this exact theme - and even older players dont always remember things from several years back, that is also fine. Few people take time to consider things we already had in events, I doubt anyone will go checking Archives to see what kinds of pets we already had; many users I imagine are just suggesting the first thing that is on their mind thinking "summer" - things they would like to do themselves in real life, and that's perfectly fine to enjoy camping in real life, its no doubt a great outdoor activity loved by many people.
But for being a CS summer event, we already had one!

2019 was pretty much that, the 2 most suggested themes; camping and cryptids.
Here's examples from 2019 Fae Mischief, for those wondering why there are people thinking its repetetive. Just because there werent certain specific pets/items users associate with it, doesnt mean the theme wasnt used before!
Camping:
we gathered mushrooms
we caught bugs
we met woodland critters
we done woodcarving!
we gathered forest stuffs and herbs!

Cryptids:
we met unicorns
we found dragons
we discovered unknown cryptids
we caught griffins!

This is what is upsetting some users; there's already been a camping/cryptid event, but it gets suggested so often as if we never had one!
Im sorry if someone thinks its "bullying" to provide arguments against something, but for me, its not bullying to provide evidence the suggested theme is a repeat and has already been an event before.

I believe it is called "constructive criticism" to point out the downsides of certain ideas. Nobody is being rude to users - all criticism posted is exclusively towards the theme, not users wanting it. And all criticism posted is done for admins to consider, not for users to argue with them - we comment to bring this to admins' attention, that despite being suggested often, this theme is a repeat and is causing upset with some other users.
