bodes wrote:Thanks Storm for the response. :) I meant that when I was posting in the pound forum, people were excitedly saying things like "hoard pet" "UC" "WL" "Shima long tail". Is there any resource that explains what these are? I'm just referring to my current pets as their date and rarity, but is there a different way of classifying them? Thank you so much!!

Edit: Forgot to ask --- How do I get my stamp collection in my signature? :D

no problem! UC means uncommon (as in rarity-wise). WL means wishlist. shima longtail is a popular
pet on the site that has excellent demand, increasing the overall worth of it. the shima longtail was
originally released as a staff pet in 2009. a hoard refers to someone who hoards a specific outcome,
litter, or even species. they like the pet to the extreme, if you will. here is a thread that is dedicated
to discussing hoards. unfortunately, i don't believe there is a specific thread that explains terms used
on cs. however, if you have a specific term that you don't understand, feel free to pm me and i'll try
my best to help you out!

you can get your stamp collect to appear underneath your posts by clicking "[click to display underneath
your forum posts]". you can find this small button on your profile page! just scroll down to the bottom of
      your profile, where you can view your stamp collection. here i'll go ahead and use mine as an example;

hi daardain! there isn't a proper way to play the game, as long as you follow the rules of the site! however,
if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask them and we would be more than happy to help you (:

Have you helped anyone before anywhere on CS? If so, please link to the post/s: I've been an adopter before and I've helped many newbies, mostly through PM or the introductions board. I've also given full, in-depth explanations on the rarity system, and how the adoption/growth of CS pets works, among other things.
Why should you be allowed to adopt a newbie?: I've learned a lot in my five years on CS, and even since I last adopted. I feel like I can now offer better help and explanations to everyday needs and questions. As I've stated in my previous form, I've always had a knack for helping people out, and now that I feel more comfortable with my knowledge on the site I wish to open my doors again. I feel like it's been long enough since my last post here. Adopting a newbie also helps me, in a sense, in breaking out of my introvert shell, making me more open to people in general.
How often do you get on CS, and how long are you typically online on these days?: Since school is in full effect, my active times have shortened slightly, ranging around 4-5 hours? I'm online almost all day on my mobile device, with slight inactive intervals. I will always get notifications of PMs, no matter where I am.
How many newbies are you willing to adopt (max 5): 2
Did you read and understand all of the Adopter information?: Yes I have.
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: Of course! No need to scare them off before they've even begun :)

Have you helped anyone before anywhere on CS? If so, please link to the post/s: i have registered as an adopter before yet was never assigned a newbie! additionally, i occasionally have posted in the fair trade/pet demand threads, although these posts were made quite a while ago.
Why should you be allowed to adopt a newbie?: i am an experienced chickensmoothie player in most aspects of the website and feel i could provide useful information to help a newer player. i am confident in my understanding of the rules and i very much enjoy helping others as it helps me with my anxiety greatly. mainly i just want to offer new players a warm welcome onto a lovely site. nwn
How often do you get on CS, and how long are you typically online on these days?: nowadays i log onto CS every day (possibly several times) and therefore am always on for at least an hour every day.
How many newbies are you willing to adopt (max 5): 3!
Did you read and understand all of the Adopter information?: yes, i have ^^
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: of course i do!

Have you helped anyone before anywhere on CS? If so, please link to the post/s: I have helped a few newbies with things like where to post what, how to trade fairly, etc.
Why should you be allowed to adopt a newbie?: Because just over a year ago, I was going through the 'Newbie' phase as well. I know what it's like to have no help when first starting out and I want to help others so they don't have to go through that ❤️
How often do you get on CS, and how long are you typically online on these days?: I log on everyday to check trades, messages, and whatnot.
How many newbies are you willing to adopt (max 5): 1 or 2 would be fine
Did you read and understand all of the Adopter information?: Yes
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: Of course I will!

I don't have any direct links of help, but I did host a newbie back in 2014-2015 and this was my form.
Why should you be allowed to adopt a newbie?:
I've been on this website for just about four years now, five next summer. I've hosted a newbie prior, and things seemed to go smoothly. I'm proficient in roleplay, BBC code, general knowledge, Pet adoption and trade, and Oekaki forums. I'm quite eager to help new users become acquainted with this site, and also to make some new friends along the way!
How often do you get on CS, and how long are you typically online on these days?:
Every day, save for some weekends. But I do work in the evenings of my time zone.
How many newbies are you willing to adopt (max 5):
I can help up to 3 at a time.
Did you read and understand all of the Adopter information?:
Yes.
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?:
Of course!
