Adopt a Newbie - Moving to new thread

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?: I know there are others who would probably do a much better job, but I remember being a newbie here. When my friend showed me the site we lived an hour apart so she could only help me so much, ya know? I felt like I was kinda on my own for a while. I didn't get how to dress up pets or post comments on the forums untill a later point. I feel like it would be a good way to give back to my beloved CS by helping newbies find their way around the site.
How often do you get on CS?: Almost daily. I am usually on my phone though, so it may or may not show my online status (have had trouble with showing up hidden before) but I am able to respond quickly.
Which categories would you like to apply for?: General knowledge, forums, and RP
How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?: In total, a few hours maybe. It's usually in small increments over time though.
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: Of course! I wouldn't want anyone to feel that I was being rude or unhelpful when I was trying to assist them.

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?:
I've been an active member on CS for about four years now (my goodness, has it really been that long?). Though in the past year school has gotten crazy, and I unfortunately dropped out of the forums and oekaki, I have kept up with trading and pet collecting. I've done most of what there is to be done on this site like trading, joining clubs, running contests, entering contests, having fursonas, posting on oekaki, and joining roles plays. I've had interactions with many different users, and I consider myself a very friendly person.
How often do you get on CS?:
Almost everyday for at least a couple of minutes. My ventures onto the website will probably lengthen as summer goes on.
Which categories would you like to apply for?:
General knowledge, forums, oekaki, trading and pets, rarities, and rares list.
How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?:
15 minutes to an hour on average.
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?:
Of course! We all were newbies once (though it seems people often forget that).

Who tested you on the rarities test? I think it may have been me, but my AAN PM folder has maxed out and I haven't been able to find any PMs I've had with you. ^^;

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?; I think I'm an experienced and rather friendly member that participates in a lot of conversation on CS, so I could be helpful to some newbies that are a bit shy with branching out.

How often do you get on CS?; I get on for about 2-5 hours every day, so I say I'm pretty active.

Which categories would you like to apply for?; Forums, General Knowledge, Trading & Pets, and BB Code.

How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?; As said above, 2-5 hours at the least but sometimes I can spend up to 8 hours on CS.

Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?; Totally! Check any of my posts and you can see I don't try to be impolite or rude with anybody.

They will contact you as soon as they receive their notification about your adoption, and will hopefully be able to help you out with all your questions. 

If they don't contact  you in a timely manner [that is, a week] or there are other problems you have with them [you don't understand their explanations, they're being rude, anything like that], you can tell us, and if you want, we'll assign you a new adopter. Simply shoot any of the staff a PM or post here, we'll help you as fast as we can ;3

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?: when I got started on CS, some people were really nice, but it was hit-or-miss. Playing CS was only worth it when I ran across people who were patient and helpful, and once I felt I knew enough about trading that I wouldn't accidentally anger someone I was trading with. I'd like to help someone else feel more comfortable playing CS.
How often do you get on CS?: Depends on the time of year. Over the summer, I normally check once a day and spend several hours a week on CS. During the rest of the year, I'll check at least once a week and spend maybe an hour, collectively. If I were assigned a newbie, I would check more frequently.
Which categories would you like to apply for?: General Knowledge, Trading and Pets, Rarities
How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?: It depends - I always answer messages, check updated trades, and bump my trade thread. I'll spend 5 minutes to an hour or more.
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: 100%. I feel it's important to be helpful and polite to /everyone/, on and off the internet at all times. If I am in a position where I can't be helpful (like I don't know something), I like to point out other possible resources. If I ever find myself in a mental state where being polite is a struggle (I can't remember the last time it's happened), I take a step back and come back when I'm in a better frame of mind. I never want to make a newbie feel like they've annoyed me. My trade message (which I've had for at least a year now) summarizes how I feel about treating other people.
