A Mary Sue/Gary Stu is a concept from roleplaying which describes a "perfect" (sometimes "cliche") character. For example, a Mary Sue may describe a hot attractive female who is very popular, liked by everyone, always knows what to do, very smart, etc. and overall has no flaws. A Gary Stu is just the same, but male. Aside from being perfect, being cliche, they can be characters that are overused and original. An example would be a character that had a wonderful life, but then something tragic happened like they were abused, or their whole family died, they live on the streets, become abandoned, liked by no one, etc. and, on the opposite scale, may have no strengths and only flaws. They are basically the extreme ends of what a roleplaying character can be.

so this is my signature... i adore this guy, but he doesn't really know i exist. i have two dogs, max and molly, and a cat, p.k, short for prince kitty. my parents aren't married, but they weren't ever divorced, either. i mainly live with my mom, but go off to my dad's every other weekend and thursday. i dance on mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays, and i love it more than anything else that gets me off my feet. i like alternative music ( like imagine dragons, panic at the disco, boy, daughter, the airborne toxic event, 3oh3, etc ) and i'm not as happy as i seem... c:

Maybe someday we'll have need of some more helpers on CS and you can definitely apply :D
But just because your name isn't coloured doesn't mean you can't be a helper! You can do plenty of things, helping new players and introducing them to the site, answering questions people may have brought up or also answering questions on the fair tread thread ;)

That's quite true.^^ You can always share your knowledge with newbies and other uses at the Suggestions and Problems forum, or even adopt a newbie to help at the "Adopt a Newbie" thread. General Helpers, like other staff members eventually retire and Chickensmoothie then needs more. Tess opens up applications when needed. ;)

Okay, so how do I bump a post without making a whole new post? I just made my first roleplay and I want it to be active, but I don't want to fill it up with a bunch of posts saying bump, so could you please tell me how to do that?

You can scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and if your post isn't too recent, there should be a button saying 'bump post'.

To clarify; it has to have been at least 6 hours since the last post. You can only use the button once, so what many people do is post 'Bump/Up', use the bump button, then delete their bumping post and just start over. That way there is only one bumping post :3
