We need your feedback on an update to the rarity system!

Yeah as an older player, I'm super excited about this update.

I have never been able to understand "the rares list" and why a VR doesn't just equal another VR. So I feel like having a better distinction between rarities will be super helpful. Trading up to pets I want has been super difficult, not saying this will make it easier to get the pets I want, but I do think it will help players like me, along with newer players, better understand how to properly trade.

i feel this update will clear up a lot of unknown gaps between pet values; honestly as an old user i fell off the swing of trading in the last few years because i’m not even entirely sure which list is supposed to be traded by or how i’m supposed to just know when a pet entered the VR bracket (ex “October list”) at a glance. this won’t entirely fix tht issue but i think it’ll make trading a little less stressful in the long run as i’ll be able to not only ask for help but take note of a pet being in the same or similar brackets. because in the current system VR is way too broad.

sorry if i'm spamming this thread a little bit!! i made a slight edit to them, i felt very common was a bit too bright and rare a bit too harsh, so i edited them a very tiny bit! in this one rare is a more similar color to the current rare rarity bar, instead of being so similar to the current very rare bar and so harsh!

Oooooo I love this!! But I feel perhaps OMGSR should stay purple. The rainbow one for OMGSR could conflict with custom pet rarities that I've seen have that same rainbow coloring. Idk just a floating thought.

I really like this idea! However, I don't think the naming of the categories goes with the star placement moving up in steps of two and the half star/ star distinction.
The names to me would rather suggest a grouping like this:
1.
OMG so common
very common
common

2.
not so common
uncommon
very uncommon

3.
rare
very rare
rare

OMG so rare being its own category.
So maybe there is a way to make the star more intuitively match the categories? How about: empty star, half filled star, fully filled star?

If this helps, Horror's list is actually two different ones. One is based on when pets turned very rare or OMGSR so it's entirely based on rarity. The one one is that + demand added. I'd rather we just go by rarity as a lot of pets are very undervalued or over valued based on demand, but that would mean players would have to change the way they trade.

It's not fair I've had my account since 2009 and all my old pets use to be rar very rare and omg rare and now majority are just uncommen moments and very commen that's not fair at all the rarety should change once its placed on a pet. Very disappointed and unhappy about this😕😭😢

This won't necessarily be true. Some of your uncommens might actually be more rare than you think. It can go both ways not just down in rarity.

My dude your account says you joined in 2011 and you have quite a few old rares on your account still.

But on a serious note if changing rarities is a big concern Forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4178581#p127136411 <-- this is the thread of which rarities have changed over time. Here you can see if your pet has dropped (or risen as some do) and see the monthly fluctuation.
